Maid Rosie drawing
Rosie and Alastor
I can't stop thinking about their relationship. I have so many questions and hopes for it.
My first question is, why did she not fix the staff when she was asked? I saw someone claim that it was because he wasn't meant to fight Adam, but based on the fact that when she arrives in the finale, she is asking Alastor why he isn't helping them with the bomb, his job was very much helping them with danger, which is what Adam was. It was an injury that happened on the job while doing the job assigned to him.
I have seen some say that she didn't fix it to teach him a lesson/humble him for fighting Adam without angelic weapons. This backfires spectacularly because his problem is not pride, it is hyperindependence. I mean, a huge part of his plan to fix it himself involved letting himself get humiliated, which clearly shows that his problem isn't pride. So instead of learning humility, it feeds into his belief that you can only trust yourself.
Alastor might not trust in friendships, but he trusted her to play her role in their contract. Just like he trusted her to play her role as a dance partner, and she dropped him. She shows him that even this cannot be counted on. At first, I thought she couldn't help and was just going to let it heal on its own, which it was already doing, as you can see from the scarring. However, considering she was able to help fix the staff in the finale, it seems that wasn't it.
I am still not completely convinced that she didn't want him to free himself from the contract. I mean, she has known him for over 90 years. There is no way she thought going out of her way to make him feel unsafe in their contract, and keeping him at barely the level to be called the strongest sinner in hell wasn't going to end with him finding a way to break the contract. Unless no one has ever broken a contract before, and she really was just being overconfident.
There is the fact that Rosie actually steps back when Alastor walks towards her. For a brief moment, she is scared of him. This made me have a bit of doubt over whether she did all of this on purpose. Then he presents his staff, and all is well. So, it could be that she was briefly worried that she didn't know him as well as she thought she did, and he was going to turn against her, only to be relieved when she realised that he just wanted his staff fixed. A thing that he needed if he was going to help, which meant they were still going to be on good terms. They both know each other well. This might have been a graduation game for Alastor.
I still have questions about what Rosie meant by when she heard Alastor's voice, she just knew or how she had never seen a soul like his before. I have my theories, which I will make a different post about. However, I feel that it confirms that there is something special about Alastor's soul, because it is due to that special nature that she offers to make him the most powerful sinner in hell.
There is also something interesting about the interview that Amir recently had, where he was talking about how Alastor still ends up building connections with the people that he uses. Amir stated,"‘Oh, I’m going to use Rosie. I’m going to use Vox. I’m going to use Charlie.’ That’s all well and good on paper. But then, when you get down to it, these are people, and you’re a person. And if you’re incapable of forming connections with other people, you’re not a very interesting character.” Vox, I get, and Charlie, I understand, but Rosie? Rosie is an odd addition to that. They had a deal, and considering how Rosie was acting at the point when Alastor ended the contract, I find it odd that she can be considered one of the characters that Alastor used. Was this just a slip, or is there more to Alastor's relationship with Rosie that meant he was taking advantage of her in some way? Of course, I am convinced that they are still going to be friends in Season 3, as I stated in this post, using the evidence of the audition sheets. Amir mentioning that Alastor has formed a connection with her supports that for me as well. However, I have a theory about what could be meant by Alastor using Rosie that ties into his soul being special. It ties into it being said that Alastor is like Odysseus. I know a lot of people think it was related to the week he spent as a prisoner of the Vees, but one week is too short for such a comparison. Alastor's plans would need to be years in the making.

Still absolutely wild that Amo's owner was really like, 'Why don't my trafficker coworkers like me? They act like I'm creepy for some reason.'
Like? Sir, you are venting at the child sex slave you've been raping for years... perhaps yer trafficker coworkers have at least a single moral that you lack and that's why they don't like you.

hey, can we all stop talking about Charlie Kirk and start talking about Trey Reed?
Police at Delta State University said no evidence of foul play was found in the death of Demartravion “Trey” Reed, but an investigation is o
Trey Reed was found yesterday hanging from a tree in Mississippi. The police are saying there was "no foul play", but anyone with half a brain knows what this really is. This was a young black man who was lynched this week in America. A thousand articles on Charlie Kirk, and yet I have heard nothing but radio silence about Trey Reed. I only learned about it when a video popped up on my social media. Think about the implications of this: this is a modern day lynching, a hate crime, and a conservative white man is getting all of the press while Reed gets nothing. Liberals and conservatives alike are mourning Kirk, but where are the people speaking out against Reed's murder?
If anyone still thinks we don't still have a massive racism problem is this country, it's time to wake up. The sad thing is, I think most people know that, it's just that so many people do not care.
I know I don't have much reach here, but I haven't seen a single thing about this man, and this atrocity cannot just be forgotten, lost under the articles of Charlie Kirk and whatever Trump is doing.
Justice for Trey Reed. I don't know what else to say. Speak out about this, don't let him be forgotten.
