I want to write this, I REALLY want to write this it's so interesting and I KNOW what I want to write I know what to do, I know exactly what I want to do and I want to do it

But it feels like two thick bricks are being smashed together in my head some days when I try to, it starts twisting into everything and anything to get me to pay attention to anything else things that I don't even want to do, it feels like I'm fucking drowning when I try, no matter how much I want it some days my brain decides that I'm not gonna be able to do something that I really want to do today

Having ADHD feels like I'm parenting a child in my brain

-"I know it's tough but if you sit down and just get this one more little bit of writing done for me, you can play Minecraft and watch a show when you get home! Doesn't that sound fun? Alright just a bit more!"

-"Yes I know washing the dishes is very boring, but guess what! You can listen to that funny video you really like while you do it, doesn't that sound fun buddy?"

-"You wanna buy a treat? Hey y'know what else would make you super cool tho? if you could save money this time! You're gonna be sooo rich! And there's a really tasty treat you can have when you get home! Wow yes that's it you're so good at saving money! You can have a treat next time, okay?"

-"I know it seems really boring and scary, but let's just go and see how you feel when you get there, okay? We can listen to that song you really like on the way!"

Sometimes the kid in my brain just stops listening and has a tantrum and then I feel like an unsuccessful parent to that child or I get really mad at the child for not doing enough, but sometimes the kid needs an easy fun play day to calm down, sometimes I gotta slowly ease the kid back into an activity that seems daunting

In defense of Adria Lafayette

I suspect that between now and the second half of MGADD, Adria will catch serious hell for forbidding Lunella from continuing as Moon Girl. She'll be a "mean mom" from now on, the subject of a zillion "hot takes" and "salt fics" ignorant of all the love and support Adria has visibly provided her daughter in the past, helping her find her voice, her inspiration, and her true self. She won't even get any grace after the second half drops and she likely backtracks on that decision.

Let's cut this off at the pass, shall we? Adria has been through a lot, especially this past evening in-show. She's just learned that the reason Lunella's been avoiding her and the rest of the family is that she's secretly been Moon Girl all this time, routinely risking her safety in fights with criminals, supervillains, and the occasional interdimensional being. There's a T-Rex standing outside the apartment and a secret lab in the basement. Her mother-in-law has known or suspected Lunella is Moon Girl for months now, and she never brought that up--oh, by the way, she has massive secrets of her own that just fell out. Finally, one of the villains Lunella previously fought (in another dimension, no less) has returned for vengeance, nearly killing them all and trashing their apartment. Can you blame Adria for wanting Lunella to put her superhero career on ice?

Please remember that Adria's parental fiat is not motivated by an attempt to pull rank, nor is it intended as a statement of disapproval of who Lunella is and what she's been doing. As far as Adria can see, Lunella's life as Moon Girl is putting her and the rest of the family in danger, and that's a non-negotiable. It is a decision made out of love, even if it doesn't seem like it at the time… and even if it ultimately proves ill-advised.

Double standards,sexism and poor media literacy

In the new episode of Moon girl and devil dinosaur Adria realized that her actions were hurting Lunella and she APOLOGIZED to her,assured Lunella that she did nothing wrong and that she accepts her the way she is and grow as a character for her daughter...and someone STILL insists that she is a bad mother, that Lunella should cut ties with her and even compared her to freaking Odalia!

Again ,when a male character is too overprotective people praise him no matter how many mistakes he makes ( example Donald Duck from the Ducktales reboot); but when a woman does it, she is abusive, even if she changes for the better and admits her faults!

Again ,this is the Camila Noceda's discourse all over again! You'd think people would have learned by now!

Also, the person who keeps saying that Lunella should disown Adria, uses the "I hate you " scene of Finding Nemo...even though at the end of the movie Nemo FORGIVES his dad that finally stops being too overprotective...so why is Marlin allowed to be forgiven but not Adria?

Because Adria is a woman of course...
