My posts and reblogs will reflect those. I shall also use this page to post links to my fanfiction (Torchwood, Outlander, Lord John Grey, IWTV) posted on AO3 under the same name. For my own sanity, I shall follow/unfollow to suit the demands of my obsessions and what I want to see or not see at any particular time - please don't take this personally. She/her and bi. All of my IWTV fics focus on the relationship between Louis and Lestat. Other pairings feature strongly - especially Daniel/Armand and Claudia/Madeleine. Loumand and Lesmand also crop up.

Mostly vampire, mostly based on canon events, a few human au - and those also reflect canon events.

Louis goes undercover - and not in a way that makes Lestat happy.

The dumb discourse about the seance becomes more pathetic when you realise these Louis stans aren't really mad about the insults Claudia hurled at him (she was insulting him the same way in Season 1 and 2) but the fact that she said Lestat was her favourite.

That's it, that's the real reason they are so mad. That Louis no longer has the badge of "I'm morally better because I killed Lestat to free Claudia" and Claudia doesn't have the badge of "I'm morally better because I rescued Louis of his White Evil Abuser and I always protected him". Nevermind she never asked for that label, it was Louis who pushed it in her in his tale.

Lestat being Claudia's favourite isn't a surprise in the books. Mostly because Book!Louis wasn't as delusional about her and knew and admitted that she and Lestat were close. But Show!Louis was always more blind about Claudia's true personality. She blatantly manipulates him in Season 1, is not a subtle for the audience as they pretend it is, he is just blind to it.

All the pathetic cope about the scene is about that line in particular. If she had said those words without the line about Lestat and him not present in the room, they wouldn't be saying shit.

While on the subject of man man... They are touring right now if you want to see them! Word of advice, though, is listen to the rabbit habits album before you decide to get tickets. They are a very bizarre band.

Their shows are a wild good time! But if you can't vibe with the album and are just going to stand there not participating maybe don't go. They have a cult following and it's a experience to see them live. So if you're just there to meet Honus Honus (Kyle) don't bring the mood down please!

This is not me gate keeping or anything like that. The more the marrier! I've just been to shows where people don't care for the music and are only their to meet someone and it really changes the mood of the show!

That said Kyle is really nice!

Something so wild about whalebones by man man playing in the new episode. I was obsessed with the album rabbit habits when it came out in 2008. The same year I binge read the chronicles. Like it was meant to be you guys.

And Ryan Kattner as co-writer for this episode as well! I wonder if he wrote Salamander's description of Lestat's song 'Brutal Love' as 'dick salt'?

I had this idea for a shower that would open and it would be Botticelli's [Venus] painting but Lestat is the one on the shell, so it was like "check me out, I'm phenomenal and amazing."

i don't think the last episode retcons the drop in 105 at all. the influence of akasha's blood was already implied in seasons 1 and 2 (and this was part of fandom discussions at the time) and according to sam, in an interview far before s3 was in production, lestat was supposed to reference akasha's blood while lestat and louis are in the sky. hence, this is not something they just threw in to make lestat more sympathetic in reaction to fans, but something that has been planned since the beginning; so it cannot be a retcon.

on top of that, lestat is not saying this to absolve himself of blame. it is clear he still feels shame and regret over what he did, he says "this is the hell i unleash on all those near me." he was influenced by the violence of akasha's blood, but he still dropped louis and he took that on during the trial, which is a scene that has not been disputed in any way. at the point of the drop, lestat has had akasha's blood for a mere 30 years. and in the aforementioned interview, sam also said that the toxic, abusive rage that lestat has is coming from an extreme, monstrous power that he has no idea how to control, that he's trying to repress all the time, that his already volatile nature gets triggered even further by this power. this does not mean that lestat is not capable of violence, but that akasha's blood pushes it higher than it would be without it.

in the end, i don't think the show is saying "well, lestat is blameless now!" the way people are interpreting it. this is far more similar to what we see in 207; adding complexity to the whole fight between louis and lestat but still foregrounding that it was lestat who made those choices and has to live with the regret of them forever. it's how lestat is trying to communicate that there is something monstrous inside of him that he cannot control, that he should not pass on.

Don’t speak on what you don’t know!

I wish fans researched the industry before speaking of their “grievances” for the season 3 marketing choices.

Many of the choices are to help AMC make money, it’s not that the budget just somehow got bigger. If that was the case, they would’ve shot on location just like they did with season 2, for the most part.

These fashion house and guitar license deals are to help AMC MAKE MONEY. They are advertisements. The people you should be blaming are the brands themselves for wanting to invest *now* when there is a white lead, not because AMC is pushing it out. The upfronts help with this. That advertising package sent out to companies were to incite brands to invest in the show so the show could run and create fun experiences for you guys.

Journalists played in Jacob’s face all season long during award campaigning too. Critics Choice only nominated Sam during season 2. It’s the industry itself. Journalists and advertisers are and were ignoring the brown & black led season, not AMC.

To think Rolin and Co. made two impeccable seasons just to “get it out of the way” is hilarious. You can tell the first two seasons were created with care. The selection of actors, costume, makeup, location, the list could go on… you don’t do all of that because you just want to get it out of the way.

Rolin brought back Delainey and Jacob because he knows they’re incredible. Why would he lose them? He wrote original parts just so they can be there.

Quit doom posting and acting like you know what’s going on in these creators heads. You have no idea how any of this works.
