I know none of you barely know me, and that is fine. I hardly am ever active on here anymore, and that is fine, too. It isn't about me. It is about an amazing person who was an amazing mother, coworker, and friend. No words can really describe the humanitarian Heather was, but if I absolutely had to give her one is that she was sincere.

Unfortunately, I haven't had known her as long as others have. I was, however, fortunate enough to work with her years ago, and let me tell you she made that experience bearable. I had just moved back to town with my mother. My grandmother had just passed away and we were struggling to make ends meet. We were slowly losing everything while I was struggling to find a job--the job market was horrible back then. I finally got a job at a gas station, a place I really did not want to work at, but it was a means to keep a roof over our heads and food in our bellies. Heather was working there at the time, and just by being around her she made me feel welcomed. Not to mention she had one of those "Imma make you crack a smile regardless" attitudes. She was someone you didnt forget, no matter how many years spent apart. Everything she did was always for her kids, two beautiful children who were her world; she always put them first. But it wasn't only that... If you needed help, she would help you. If you asked, she would give it if she could. If you needed a place to stay for the night, she offered her couch.

In all honestly she was taken from this world too soon. She has two children that still need her; she has friends and family that still need her, but apparently her purpose was served here and she was called back home.

If you can donate it would help a lot. The funds will go to cover her funeral costs and the remaining will be put away for her children. If you can't, that is fine ad well. I'm certain Heather would be livid if she knew we were gathering funds for her. Haha. But if you can reblog this and share it around that would be awesome. You may not have known her and unfortunately I didn't get to know her as well as her family did, but she was a good person. Gone from us too soon.

Rest in Peace, Heather. You deserve it.

My dog actually did this to a new kitten I brought home. My dog, Candy, is a mix breed of Bluetick Coonhound and American Dingo (or Carolina Dog). I've had her since she was 10 months old and she never had puppies because she was spayed. But when I brought Sage, the kitten, home, Candy showed the kitten so much motherly attention that it baffled me. She would sniff Sage, nuzzle her, lick her, and nudge her butt with her snout. Any time Sage would try to get away, Candy followed. Even under the bed! Candy hates enclosed spaces.

I have never seen her act that way before. She has never been around puppies or anything else equivalent. Not even our other cat when she was a kitten--in fact, Candy thought that one was a chew toy at one time... long story with that one.

I honestly was afraid Candy would have hurt Sage by doing that, so I would tell her no and take Sage away from her. Now me thinks I should have let nature ran its course, because the person I got her from said the mother cat wasnt a very good mom and basically abandoned the kittens; she had to bottle feed them most of the time.
