Day 4 of being unemployed.
It is funny how I was approved my vacations later this week, but they started early for me lol.
Anyhow, I’ve now realized that I like to have a functional computer with great capacity that nothing is lagging AND that you can customize. Howeverrrr, I have a laptop that my dad gifted me when I was 14 or 15 years old and that I’ve loved and drawn on for 10 years. I wish I had a better one but, I no longer can update it to the newest version of Windows, so by saying this, one can infer that 1) not only is it slow already for all the files I have in there (even after defragging and deleting unnecessary stuff) but 2) it will no longer have updates, so inevitably I need to buy a better one, or a desktop computer for once, and 3) lol to put games too.
(Fun fact: Last desktop computer we had, was the family computer around 2016-2018) 🤷♀️
If you wonder how, in those 10 years of drawing, I didn’t save enough for a laptop? Well, precisely that!! I do not have a large fan base, nor I draw pretty often for me to improve my skills, nor I do commissions often.
I decided to focus on highschool, then I did not go to college. After that, I’ve been like a depression stage ever since I graduated on 2018. Life happens, I get my first job at a restaurant, but it was very energy demanding that I did not have time to draw, I changed jobs and still did not have time nor inspiration to draw, then they fired me. For the following three months I draw maybe like 4-5 pieces, where you can see they’re a bit better in complexity, but then I got rehired by them again, so which it was more mentally exhausting, I tried to push myself into drawing again and I could only do sketches during my lunchtime or in what little time I had left of my day.
I tried other hobbies but, nothing like drawing.
if you could please share the original post, or this one so you guys can help me, not only with expenses, but to buy a better setup so I can continue drawing
