Heroes say goodbye to Tony Stark in Avengers: Endgame deleted scene
What book series do you recommend? I have read both ToG and ACOTAR. I am looking for a new series to fall in love with but I don't know where to look.
Off the top of my head there’s The Winner’s Curse Trilogy, The Lunar Chronicles, The Kingkiller Chronicles, Six of Crows duology, and The Mortal Instruments/The Infernal Devices/The Dark Artifices
Hush Hush series by Becca Fitzpatrick, Fallen Series by Lauren Kate, Mortal Instruments/Infernal Devices by Cassie Clare and Kanan Chronicles by Amanda Hocking are all good:)
More recommendations for the anon!! Thanks friend
Also I haven’t read them yet but I hear good things about The Foxhole Court and The Raven Boys series
Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy by Laini Taylor, Shades of Magic trilogy by V.E. Scwab, Truthwitch by Susan Dennard, The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh, An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir, and The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller are all really good! I’ve read both the Foxhole Court and The Raven Cycle and I can attest to their awesomeness.
Even more books!!!!
The Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews! Anything by Ilona Andrews, really. I’m trying to think of more, but a few have already been mentioned. (Lunar Chronicles, Truthwitch, Mortal Instruments, and quite a few of those above are on my to-read list, too!)
May I?
Children/middle grade - “Summoner” by Taran Mathrau - “The School for Good and Evil” by Soman Chainani
YA - “Half Bad” by Sally Green - “Red Queen” by Victoria Aveyard
They’re lesser known but carry amazing plots, stories, characters, character developments, modern problems (like Racism, sexism, abuse, or terrorism)
Truthwitch by Susan denard is written by a friend of Sarah j Maas and us a lot alike in writing style I really liked it… • The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken is an awesome dystopian American teenage kind of book
- The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon - And I Darken - Kiersten White - Passenger duology by Alexandra Bracken - if you are looking for centralised POC characters in positions of power in Victorian England (v specific i know) Sorcerer to the Crown by Zen Cho!
The Pellinor series - Alison Croggon (The Naming, The Riddle, the Crow, The Singing)
The Wheel Mages - Aimee Davis
The Watchmaker of Filigree Street - Natasha Pulley
These are just three off the top of my head, but they’re all amazing and I always recommend them.
If I may… The Illuminae Files series by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
To jump in as well…
The Study Series by Maria Snyder, which is a series with a lot of diversity and some really interesting characters. Some trigger warnings re: sexual violence. I also recommend the Healer Series by the same author, less violent and I adore the main character.
The Black Jewels Trilogy by Anne Bishop, which is brilliant but _extremely_ violent with a lot of sexual violence towards both males and females. But to balance that it’s funny as hell, has a large number of POC, once you get into the second book some super cool talking animals, and a really interesting view of inner strength and interior worlds.
The Dresden Files, the Codex Alera, and the Cinder Spires series all by Jim Butcher The Toby Daye and In Cryptid books by @seananmcguire The Morganville Vampires books by Rachel Caine (I’m told her other series the Weather Wardens is good as well though I haven’t read it) A Song of Ice and Fire series by George R. R. Martin The Seven Realms novels by Cinda Williams Chima A God in the Shed by J-F. Dubeau (very very creepy and kinda graphic but it’s a g o o d book)
*SLAMS FISTS ONTO TABLE* LET’S MAKE HEADCANONS ABOUT THE PHILIPPINE WIZARDING SCHOOL PLS
• Founded by the babaylan before the arrival of the Spaniards • Located in Mt. Makiling (obviously) • Its “cover story” is UP Los Baños • Diwatas, kapres, tikbalangs serve as its faculty and staff • Although technically one campus, it has facilities all over the archipelago, linked by underwater tunnels • Most of it is outdoors and mostly focuses on nature magic • Jose Rizal and other ilustrados knew about it but swore to keep it a secret
OK, THIS IS WHAT I HAVE SO FAR (KAYO NA MAG-EXPAND)
I’M THINKING OF BIRINGAN OR SIQUIJOR FOR THE LOCATION
@gagreplexes suggested that it’ll probably have branches tho
ilang terms muna PARA MALINAW
mangkukulam — a witch, sorcerer, or anyone who practices folk magic (get over it, the spaniards probably ruined this word for us punyeta) x
sumpa — curse, black magic, dark arts probably
mambabarang — summoner, a kind of dark sorcerer; they only inflict pain or illness x
magical creatures
faun/centaur — tikbalang
phoenix — adarna
elf — duende
merpeople — kataw
magical items
WALIS TAMBO HAHAHAHAHAHAHHA x
instead of wands we can have staffs i think
or maybe ANTING-ANTINGS!!!! *sideways look at goyong*
crack headcanons
the houses are gma7 and abs-cbn
the infirmary has a separate cabinet for vicks vaporub, katinko, whiteflower, pau liniment-
the sorting hat is either a salakot or a straw hat
*whispers* students can pick cats or dogs or maybe even mayas as familiars pass it on
since walking up and down the mountains is exhausting, there are portals within the balete trees so students can instantly get from one class to the other
you can make your own anting-anting (talisman) in home economics
you need to grow and harvest your own herbs for potions class, which is easy since the mountain’s charmed soil accelerates plant growth
*raises hand* ALSO also!!
The opening ceremony is a full blown fiesta! When all the students have passed through they would have been bombarded by the colors and sounds, they would be led by a Tikbalang to the ‘town square’, an extra one or two would be on the look out for the new students with a small supply of oils(VICKS) because they sometimes faint from the sensory overload. The current babaylan could possibly be the one to give the opening remarks.
I feel that instead of houses, it’d be more of tribes and could possibly be divided into two or three? Sea, Land and (possibly) Sky?
The Sea’s dorm could be the Balanggays (if I’m right that should be the boat, the one that looks just like the one in National Museum). Like every morning they’d tie the boat to the harbor then on weekends or by curfew they’d untie them and just let them float around at sea for a bit. Each boat is enchanted of course, none of them gets lost and none of the students can row away. Sirenas and Syokoys guard them
The Lands dorms are kubo’s in the general vicinity of the town, a bit farther from the rest of it but just at the edge of the forest. The Tikbalang could be the guardians. Or it could also be built-in to a mountain or cliff side, this would give more camouflage to the dorms.
And the Sky’s dorm could be farther up in the mountains, the dorms are tree houses and the Manananggals or Kapre’s could be the guardians. Since its in the trees it’d be a bit had to see from the ground because of the dense leaves. All the room are connected to this living room by hanging bridges (with students can get in trouble for running on it), of course this would all be complete with a giant kulambo.
WAAAAAAAAAAAIT WAAAAAAAAIT THE ACCEPTANCE LETTERS.
Philippine Eagles as the mail delivery systems?? (it’s probably why they’re rare idk )
I won’t be surprised if the letter’s got something with blood being used idk. DUGONG PINOYYY idk
TAPOS PAG HINDI NAKA-RECEIVE NG RETURN LETTER ANG SCHOOL, MAY PUPUNTA NA DIWATA (idk but the idea of having one inside of one’s home sound wonderful) PARA KAUSAPIN KA AT YUNG GUARDIANS MO ABOUT SA SCHOOL?
im so up for this omg
LOL LOL YES DUGONG PINOY ODK
the ph eagles though are more likely monitored by the government today so it would be a bit hard if they delivered in the cities
PERO GUYS ANO TALAGA TAWAG NUNG SCHOOL MUNA ODK
SUGGESTIONS!
OKAY I USED GOOGLE TRANSLATE ON SOME SO PLES FORGEV MEH
Escuela de Magia dela Perla de Oriente
ANYTHING WITH SALAMANGKA ON IT
TAPOS MAY OTHER NAME NG PILIPINAS
the “wands” depend on the students preference.
some students prefer staffs… usually when around muggles these staffs shrink and become little anting-antings or even everyday objects (one student has a lion-headed staff that shrinks into a pencil with a metal lion top)
some students however, have magical talismans… disposable ones (eg. a little boat pendant that turns into a giant floating balangay, little glass pendants filled with potions that can thrown at the enemy, rings with certain crystals that heal certain wounds and injuries…) they use them then they need to make new ones because the magic in them is only good for one use only. it’s a tedious sort of magic so it’s reserved only for people with utmost patience… but talisman making is a prestigious occupation and there’s a little shop on the school grounds (run by a very friendly mangkukulam who is probs 150 yrs old) with books upon books of DIY on the subject and also some ingredients… like an arts & crafts store, only less scrapbooking more… channeling ultimate power and magic
… there are mangbabarangs, of course… but um… yeah. no bugs. no living thing should be killed for the sake of magic. for them, they specialize in potions and healing and … vodoo. but only under strict supervision of the school and their ministry of magic and also… uhm. no don’t poke the bugs. here, use this stuffed toy instead.
of course, others use wands. but they’re more like shrunken versions of staffs than the wands sa europe. mostly made out of drift wood or thick branches… sometimes there is a gem affixed to the top, sometimes there is just a simple carving. it depends. they’re more difficult to hide, of course. so majority of them shrink just like their staff counter-parts…
and then… well, being a primarily catholic country imma shoe-horn in a little bit of religion in here to spice stuff up
religion and magic merge very well here compared to europe, surprisingly. some people believe in the old gods, some people believe in the catholic church
there will be a skirmish sometimes, but in the end oks lang naman kasi… well, they’re under the same sky, under the same school.
it’s a little idealistic, but for them, magic is magic, no matter the source.
so sometimes you get talismans that look a bit like the star of david or the cross… or staffs that look eerily similar to the staff of the pope lol
but that’s more for comfort of the bearer than any political statement… malay mo they just feel closer to home with a staff that turns into a functional qua ran *shrugs*
wala lang… just a thought lol.
SANDALI, SANDALI, WHAT IF:
We don’t use wands (YOU HEARD ME RIGHT) because we have the magical bloodline from our ancestors (babaylans and witch doctors, anyone?)
SA BAWAT COLLEGE MAY MGA PORTALS PAPUNTA NG WIZARD SCHOOL. YUNG MGA ‘OUT OF ORDER’ CR STALL OR YUNG ABANDONED BUILDINGS OR ROOMS? TADA, SECRET ROAD TO THE SCHOOL. (Only 5th-7th year lang ang pwede para dito)
Houses would be the elements. Earth, water, fire, air. Since noong unang panahon, naniniwala ang mga babaylan na galing sa nature ang kanilang mga kapangyarihan.
DURING SPANISH PERIOD, THE SPANIARDS VIEWED MAGICK AS A SIGN FROM THE DEVILS SO THEY VOWED TO PURGE MAGICK FROM THE PHILIPPINES THAT’S WHY YUNG MGA WIZARDS NAG-LIE LOW AND HAD TO LIVE THEIR LIVES WITHOUT MAGICK
IN THE AMERICAN PERIOD, WHY THEY’RE VIEWED AS SAVIOURS IS BECAUSE THEY “BROUGHT” BACK MAGICK BUT REALLY THEY EXPLOITED IT.
IN THE JAPANESE PERIOD, THE SCHOOL BECAME AN EVACUATION CENTER TO HIDE FROM THE JAPANESE, BUT AFTER WE’RE FREE FROM THEM, THE TEACHERS AND THE STAFFS HAD TO OBLIVIATE THE MEMORIES OF THE SURVIVORS TO MAKE SURE THE SECRET OF MAGICK WILL BE SAFE.
FRIEND I APPROVE OF THIS.
Picking up on the wandless magic, what if WE ACTUALLY USE HAND GESTURES AND IMBES NA RAYS OF LIGHT WE ARE SURROUNDED BY GLITTERY COLORED SMOKE?
BETTER DIN TAYO AT CONTROLLING ARE POWERS KASI ACCORDING TO JKR WANDS ARE USED TO FOCUS MAGIC EASILY PERO WE DO NOT NEED THEM DAMMIT.
The hand gestures we follow are based on constellations. WHAT IF MAY SARILI TAYONG CONSTELLATIONS PINOY STYLE?
Better tayo at nature magic? EG: Harnessing the elements, divining the future with the sky/plants/flowers?
MAGALING DIN TAYONG MAG ENCHANT NG MGA BAGAY, LIKE WE JUST CARVE SOME RUNES HARNESSED FROM NATIVE WRITING SYSTEMS LIKE BAYBAYIN, KULITAN, ETC.
DIDN’T THE BABAYLAN USE TO PERFORM DANCES AND INTRICATE HAND GESTURES WITH SPECIFIC MAGICAL THINGS LIKE KNIVES OR INGREDIENTS TO A POTION YAS OK I APPROVE OF THIS YAAAASSS
(*whispers* folk. dancing. witches. and. wizards.)
GUYS
WAG KALIMUTAN GUMAWA NG SCHOOL MOTTO :
“Wag tatapak sa nuno sa punso”
Can be as weird as not ticking a fcking sleeping dragon because you do not tickle a damn sleeping dragon
pwede ba magsuggest ng school motto x
Disseminate!
OHOHOHOOH RARE PH ANIMALS ROAM THE CAMPUS
ENDEMIC SPECIES!!!!!!!!! *MABIGAT NA PAGHINGA*
G AKO DYAN DAHIL SA ENDEMIC SPECIES* MERON TAYONG:
82 AMPHIBIANS
208 REPTILES
111 MAMMALS
14,606 INSECTS
196 BIRDS
*endemic: species that are native to our country HOLY SHIT NAIIMAGINE NYO BA YUNG MGA BAGONG SPECIES NA MAKIKILALA NATIN!!!!!
Imagine having an aswang as your professor tho. Literal terror teacher whose top half flies off into the night
“Ay shet so ma'am Reyes nanaman prof natin. Di ba sya din last year?”
“Pre, sya magtuturo sa tin hanggang graduation. Forever syang magtuturo dito. Immortal nga diba.”
Also SPELLS IN DIFFERENT DIALECTS!!! Traditional precolonial tribal tattoos imbued with magic!! Legendary ung bato no Darna, ala Sorceror’s Stone ung reputation.
“Ay mga hindot. Kaninong ulam yung may ginisang bawang. Putangina naman guys-” as s/he walks out of the dining area where most students have packed lunch
THIS POST KEEPS GETTING BETTER
what if after ma-sort sa 4 houses slash elements, magkaka-tattoo yung estudyante idk sa braso (left o right?) nung element na yun and it will be there forever
BAYBAYIN WRITING SYSTEM
PARANG ANCIENT RUNES NA SUBJECT
REQUIRED NA ALAM MONG MAGBASA’T MAGSULAT IN BAYBAYIN
DISCUSSION WITH @makasalanang-ensaymada:
on subjects that will be taught in the school: we thought about what the professions will be after graduating and so far we have:
healers (albularyo, espiritista)
exorcists
spirit mediums (YUNG MGA KAKAUSAP SA MGA AYAW MAG-LET GO NA MGA KALULUWA) (LALO NA YUNG MGA WIZARDS NA NAMATAY NOONG COLONIZATION PERIODS)
potioneers (yung mga gumagawa ng miracle herbal oils, lowkey sila yan)
enchanters/enchantresses (DUH)
BABAYLANS (THEY’RE SMALL GROUPS THAT ARE LIVING THE OLD TRADITION!!!!! ) (bakit po nadamay yung mythology?WE’LL GET TO THAT LATER! MAEXCITE KAYO!!!!!)
animal whisperers (YOU CAN RAISE AN ARMY OF C A T S) (U G H PARANG SA DISNEY PRINCESSES U CAN WALK AROUND CAMPUS WITH BIRDS FLUTTERING AROUND YOU) ( AND YUNG ENDEMIC AND MACIGAL SPECIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU CAN CONTROL THEM!)
creature tamers (para dun sa less friendly creatures/ species)
maybe government crap like the ministry of magic
herbologists (may combat herbologists!!!!!)
divinators
ARCHITECTS!!!!!!! WIZARDS & WITCHES WHO STUDY AND APPLY MAGICAL PROPERTIES AND DESIGN INFRASTRUCTURES!!!! SECRET PASSAGES AND WHATNOT!!! FLOATING TEMPLES OR EVEN ENTIRE ISLANDS!!!!!!
kung sa harry potter may dark arts; ano pong nilalabanan natin? ongoing yung discussion pero sa ngayon:
monsters sana at yung evil creatures KASO HUWAG KAYO GANYAN, BIGYAN NATIN SILA NG CHANCE NA MAGBAGO
KAYA NGA TAYO MAY CREATURE TAMERS EH
mga kaluluwa na nangpopossess (kaya nga may exorcists ano)
isang faction na feel nila na tama yung ginagawa nila: DI NILA MAGETS KUNG BAKIT DI PWEDENG ISHARE YUNG WIZARDING WORLD SA NON-MAGIC PEOPLE AND THEYRE WILLING TO TO TO WAR FOR THEIR CAUSE GANUN
MERON PA:
A DEAD WIZARD WHO MADE AN UNDEAD ARMY TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD KASI HINDI MATANGGAP YUNG PAGKAMATAY NIYA
dagdag sa creatures:
the nymphs are usually portrayed like tinkerbell? frail-looking and weak bUT WHAT IF WE’VE GOT RLY BADASS ONES AND THEY’RE THE REASON YOU GET REALLY SICK/ GET INTENSE BODY PAIN IF YOU CUT DOWN THEIR TREE/POLLUTE THEIR RIVERS
THEY TEACH COMBAT TECHNIQUES AT THE SCHOOL (mostly self-defense) (since magic is practiced with the mind and soul, the nymphs teach us how to strengthen the body as well)
they probably make the cool weapons and armor too
retired bakunawa though. he used to be the sea monster that ate the six moons, now he just offers free rides across the islands & plays with the children on the seashore haha
bakit po nadamay ang ph mythology?
what if WHAT IF
IISA LANG YUNG DEMIGOD CAMP AT WIZARDING SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
these demigods are gonna be egocentric pieces of shit, looking down at all the salamangkeros because they are far more powerful than them (unlike wizards who have to train and study to improve their magic, demigods have to study to control their massive powers)
but they’re not really antagonists or bullies, they’re just kinda matapobre i guess
and there are really nice ones that offer to tutor the salamangkeros huhuh (probably idiyanale’s children, bless them) (idiyanale is goddess of good deeds)
BRINGING THIS BACK BECAUSE I NEED THIS IN MY LIFE OKAY
CAN WE CONTINUE THIS OR SOMETHING PLEASE
Speaking of ph mythology what if the gods are like the over-all seers of the school, kind of like a council that guides the school. (different gods per region base on that region’s belief)
Also I just love this post one of my faves forever
@makasalanang-ensaymada ISIWALAT MO NA IDEAS MO BEH
other concepts bc im trash for this idea:
there are certain towns nearby that know about the existence of the magical school and that’s basically our hogsmeade where we can sign karaoke lmaooo
the prejudice present in hp books would be about aswangs&iba na naging aswang at demigods!!! may ibang students na may magic lang talaga pero may iba rin na may dugo ng diwata (yun kibali ang mga purebloods)
champorado, choriso, and dried fish for breakfast lmao
actually really intense arguments about gma and abs-cbn
guys christmas parties before uuwi and mga students for the holidays
instead of quidditch it could just be really intense games of patintero like!! imagine patinero but with hoops on both sides and!! 10 students all laid out on the field no brooms whatsoever. another team has to run to one end and make it back without any of them getting tagged,, and even if you make it home, you still have to aim the quaffle towards the hoop. you’re allowed to be hit by bludgers in the air,, although the witches that do have to be a certain distance away and usually miss, if someone catches the snitch, everyone has to go up in that air. you’re allowed to go downwards or upwards, but the defense gets more memebers. so,,, intense patintero you guys
SO BALE INTENSE PATINTERO + BATUHANG BOLA + STREET BASKETBALL KUNG SAAN LEGIT PWEDENG MANGULAM AT MAMBALYA GUYS ANO NAAAAAAAAAAAA PATAYAN NAAAAAAA
but also:
INTENSE TUMBANG PRESO
INTENSE TAGU-TAGUAN/BANGSAK
INTENSE LANGIT-LUPA
INTENSE LUKSONG TINIK/LUKSONG BAKA
INTENSE CHINESE GARTER
INTENSE PIKO
INTENSE PUKPOK PALAYOK
INTENSE SIPA
INTENSE PALOSEBO
INTENSE KADANG-KADANG
INTENSE BATO-BATO-PIK (bale hand sigils na nagkacast ng spells, parang duel na rin pak ito lang yung relevant sa lahat ng nilista ko)
INTENSE POGS
OKAY OMG I JUST FOUND OUT ABOUT THIS RN LET ME SPILL MY SHIT HERE I GO:
Stemming from the idea of what that one blog said about the wizarding school being a huge campus with mini campuses spread across the archipelago connected by underwater tunnels what ifff: The school’s main campus is on Mt. Makiling which is supposed to be huge (Given). The campus is sort of built-in on the mountain like it’s made to look like it’s part of the of the mountain but it still has all the interesting specific details of a Wizarding Campus. Then for example the campus branches would also blend in with the places they’re in like, there would be a secret island in Palawan that’s much prettier than El Nido which is actually where the Palawan Wizarding branch is located. Anually, all students from all campus branches would get together at the main campus for inter-school stuff like Intense Patintero battle between Surigao and Abra. Because of this, a first year would be required to read and write in Baybayin & know how to speak at least 6 dialects (e.g Tagalog, Bisaya, Hiligaynon, Ilocano, Chavacano, Ilonggo). Throughout the student’s life in the school, He/she is required to expand on that knowledge but the student will decide what & how He/she will learn. (E.g Learning 2 more dialects a year+ learning other writing systems like kulitan, etc.) There are special benefits that comes with learning a lot of dialects. For example, there is a powerful spell you can chant in Waray that would not work if you translated it into Tagalog. All Dialects have these special perks & that’s why there are spellbooks in every dialect. Muggles won’t see any of the campuses because magic.
For the tattoos, I’m also going to expand on what the other blog said about a student getting the tribe’s mark/symbol tattooed on him/her after being sorted into that tribe. That’s the student’s first Tattoo. A student can earn more through achievements like mastering Talisman-making & divination. It’s common to see a crap ton of tattoos on 6th-7th year students and professors. MAGULAT KA KUNG MAY FIRST YEAR NA TADTAD NG TATTOO WHOA WHO IS DAT GENIUS HARRY POTTER NG PINAS FTW. When the Tattooed Witches and Wizards go out into the muggle world, muggles won’t see their tattoos but fellow witch and Wizards can.
Yes to Philippine Eagles being Owl Substitutes. When the Wizards found out that muggles killed the eagles for stupid reasons they decided to build a sanctuary for the eagles inside the campus. Throughout the years, they stocked up on Philippine Eagles until they’re as common as the Maya or Pipit. But for the muggles, the eagles are still endangered because the Wizards eagles have special magic in their DNA that makes them invisible to the muggle eye. That magic was put in the first flock of Philippine Eagles the Wizards bred. Until these birds mated and their offspring is invisible as well. Thus, the Magic Philippine Eagle specie was born. The Wizards are not willing to share with muggles because they think the muggles will just kill the birds again.
PANGILANG DAGDAG/EDIT KO NA TO SHET SHET SHET CAN’T STOP BTW YUNG ENDEMIC PHILIPPINE ANIMALS AS PATRONUSES SHET SHET SHET ARGGHHH
OMG YES TO EVERYTHING BUT *restrains self from making corrections, fails Will Save for 2* (1) a pet peeve, forgive me: guys, our regional languages are not dialects, we have languages. They are LANGUAGES. Hiligaynon (which is also known as Ilonggo, which is also what i am) is a language. Ilocano is a language. Chavacano is a language. Waray is a language. They are LANGUAGES, not dialects. Calling then “dialects” is an artifact of the American colonial period, and is factually incorrect and harmful. Please pass it on. (2) THERE IS ALREADY A “SECRET” BOARDING SCHOOL IN THE HEART OF MT. MAKILING OMG OMG OMG MAY PEG NA IRL –It’s the Philippine High School for the Arts, and it’s low-key Philippine Hogwarts already. It sits a few kilometers above UP Los Baños, shrouded in jungle on one side, and overlooks Laguna de Bay on the other. Everyone, faculty included, lives in dorms, and kids have to walk through +/-1 km of jungle to get from the residential area to the school. Students are separated by “major” (visual arts, theater, music, etc.), the school complex’s main street (AFAIK/remember) is covered in paintings of flowers and animals and geometric patterns, the students call themselves “Ibarang,” students have elaborate initiation ceremonies for the first years, teachers are badass professional artists and musicians and such, and occasionally National Artists drop by to teach and/or say hi. Yun lang. *bow*
Thank you for explaining the whole language/dialect thing! I always wondered about that. (Nasa langblr community pa naman ako, mej nakakahiya na ngayon ko lang nalaman yun :P) Educating people is great.
Btw, that secret school is such a headcanon fuel that I’m starting to feel bad for not yet receiving my letters via Philippine Eagle.
Binasa ko lahat. And it’s amazing

How I Will Probably Die
I find the bookshop on 47th and Willow, sandwiched between a pawn shop with a broken lamp in the window and a jewelry store selling fake pearls. The windows are shuttered, and a black cat is lying on the doorstep. She arches against my hand when I reach down and pet her, and when I step over her and go inside, I half expect her to follow me.
She doesn’t, even when I hold the door for her. I…
