Pete Rock & CL Smooth - I Got A Love
“Letterman (produced by Pete Rock)” by K-Solo
Hit Squad member K-Solo spits his amazing spelling flow over a Pete Rock track, definitely an early 90’s vibe.
Brandy Feat. Queen Latifah, MC Lyte & Yo-Yo : I Wanna Be Down (remix)

Fat Joe - Shit Is Real
Fat Joe wasn’t always synonymous with DJ Khaled, leaning back or making it rain, in fact, at one point in time he was just a kid form the Bronx who fell in love with hip hop. This kid eventually grew up to the man we know today but it seems that his passion for hip-hop might have gotten lost somewhere along the way. Early on in Joe’s career he was another MC trying to prove himself to his city and the hip-hop community. Teaming up the guys like Big Pun, Big L and DJ Premier, Joe was able to make a name for himself not only as a predominant Latino rapper but as an overall skilled MC. “Shit Is Real” is a perfect song that was true to who Joe was as rapper and as a man. He was always someone who was never afraid to say what was one his mind and he did it in such a poetic way. As time went on, he became less concentrated about making good music and more about truly embodying the name FAT Joe. I can wholeheartedly say that the skinnier Fat Joe actually made some decent music, it is just unfortunate that there are so many hip-hop artists that get caught up in the lifestyle and make their fans suffer.

De’1 | Da Underground Sound (feat. Marley Marl, Lords Of The Underground, and Sah-B) | 1993
De’1 (pronounced Day One) is a rapper from Texas, based on the East Coast. His debut on a record came from the hand of Newark’s finest Lords Of The Underground, in the posse cut “Flow On” included in their first album (and that later had an excellent remix by Pete Rock). De’1 was supposed to release his first full-length album self-titled “Day One” but unfortunately it never happened and ended up getting added to the huge list of the lost hip-hop releases. His first single “Da Underground Sound” was a huge street hit, and as a curious fact it featured Marley Marl as the producer of the track and as a rapper.
