This journey to Allah is the only journey worth the effort. Stay strong and help your friends and family whenever you can as all are struggling to make it to the finish line successfully.
Ya Allah! Help us do as many good deeds as possible (and fast as many days as possible) with sincere intention to please You. Ameen.
Do share the post with friends and family
[Reminder benefits the believer] (Quran 51:55).
Turn to Allah now. We dont know what the next moment holds. Ya Allah forgive all of us. AMEEN.
Idle mind is Devil's workshop
Mother.. A great blessing of Allah.
Test or Trial?
Goals anyone?
People tend to have goals maybe Ramadan to Ramadan or maybe yearly. If you happen to make any do include these 3 categories as well:
1)Improvement in Worship:
-Plan and make steady improvement in your prayers, ensure your 5 daily prayers are performed and beautify them by performing them on time, and adding the Sunnah & Nafl prayers as well.
-Increase your Zikr of Allah, have a consistent plan for morning (after Fajr prayer) and evening (after Asr prayer) for doing the zikr of at least
*Astagfar (Astagfarullah)
*Durood (Sallulahu Alaihi Wassalam)
*3rd Kalima (SubhanAllah Allahamdullilah Laa ilaha illaAllah AllahuAkbar Lahaowla walaquwata illa billahi Alilyul Azeem)
-Wake up at Tahajud
2)Increase your knowledge
-Have a target maybe you can memorize one surah (like surah mulk, waqiyah, kahf etc) and read the tafseer of it of as many sources as possible and recite it in your daily prayers this way In Sha Allah you will retain it.
-Read the seerah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) of at least 1 source every year (our love for Him will increase In Sha Allah and it will be easier to follow His blessed sunnah with increase of love)
3)Service to Society/Mankind/Nature/Create an impact in whatever capacity
-We need to involve in some kind of service activity it can be at the local Masjid, helping on weekly free meals, some organizations that have structured yearly programs etc. some form in which you give back to the society in some capacity or other.
-If you have nowhere to join start small, come up with something like feed the birds, plant a tree, the homeless person you come across now and then give them some fresh food/clothes etc. regularly.
-Google the local shelters/orphanages check what you can sadaqa
We humans can do a lot, its only in our mind we set limitations. Let this calendar year break those limitations of our mind. Let us strive to better ourselves in every realm.
It is important to teach your child to control its nafs early on.
If your child is allowed to wear skimpy clothes before puberty, how will that child naturally be inclined to modesty later on?
If you let him or her watch indecent movies now, how will he or she become naturally shy?
If your child is always the first to eat, how will he or she learn the etiquette for eating?
If your child always gets his or her will, how will he or she learn to be submissive to Allah?
If your child has excessive toys, how will your child learn not to be addicted to Dunya?
Teach your child to control its nafs in small steps. Always let the eldest be the first one to eat.
Eat humble food and reduce the sugar intake of your children.
Bake something delicious with your children and make them give it to the homeless shelter.
Let them always wear modest clothes and control what and how much they watch, as well as their access to social media.
Don’t allow your children to run the show, set up healthy boundaries and rules.
Let your children use their imagination rather than having all the newest toys and thereby loads of almost unused toys.
Make sure they have good friends.
Make sure they start praying and fasting before it becomes obligatory for them.
If you don’t start all of this early, the struggle to control their nafs will be much greater for your children once they reach puberty, when they have to deal with hormones and other challenges on top of that.
What you instill in them now will be their tools and weapons once they reach puberty. What they learn now will be their protection throughout their lives.

SubhanAllah! Allah teaches us through nature. We really need to ponder over things around us in nature..
When life gets hard.. powerful reminder.
Days are passing and we just seem to stay busy day in day out.. but are we preparing for our death? DEATH is an inevitable truth which we will face sooner or later. Repent on the sins and turn to Allah as he is the only one who can save us.
Let us change the way we look at holidays.. now with the long weekend around, it is understandable that people want to take a vacation and relax but what if we can use them to:
=> Do Nafl Fast (as days are anyways smaller)
=> Do the extra Sunnah and Nafl prayers (wake up for Tahajud and increase your supplication)
=> Read an extra chapter of Quran
=> Call up and talk to family members/friends that you don't usually call, know how they are doing
=> Visit your sick friend/family member
=> Take your family(children especially) to pray at the Masjid
=> Visit an orphanage/underprivileged people and donate (make your children hand the donating items)
=> Winters are harsh for homeless, if you have some unused blankets/jackets/sweaters carry them with you while going out so if you spot someone you can give them.
=> Join any volunteering programs at the Masjid
=> Do Dawah work (in whatever capacity possible)
=> Take time out to read the Seerah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) or other islamic books (increase your knowledge)
=> Try to declutter your house and make separate box for donation and sadaqa the unused items (benefits in both ways a cleaner home and someone will benefit from the items that sit unused in your house)
=> If you have any islamic books that you have already read gift them (with an intention of sadaqa-e-jariyah)
=> If you are planing a get together don't forget to invite any revert friend/ revert acquaintance or any old relative/old neighbor (often the reverts and old people feel left out)
Ultimately do as much good as possible (with pure intentions) as free time is precious and you will regret wasting it on useless things after you die.
Ya Allah, give us the blessing to always remember You and turn to You for every small or big thing in life and please save us from a depressed life. Ameen!
Let us be consistent in reciting Surah Mulk as we would long for every possible help in the Hereafter (by the grace of Allah).
Put your best effort, make dua and leave the rest to Allah, waiting with (beautiful) patience.
