,,The Virgin Mary is the type of the fully realized human being. In her, there is an infinite intimacy with God and an infinite respect: she knew the divinity of Jesus in a way that we do not know, she knew it at a culminating point. In Jesus, she served God. In her, there exists at the same time a maternal love and the love of one who is the model servant of the Lord. We cannot separate the Virgin Mary from us and place her on the same level as Christ. She stands on the same level as we do, and that is why she can help us so much: she shows what a human creature can achieve by using their freedom to join with the will of God."
