I think for the discord excercise I got the colors’ tones really close to one another. For the first red and green one I didn’t have to add white or make it darker. For the middle one I did analogous colors green and blue which I had to add a tint to. The last pair i worked with red and green again but wanted the discord pair to be darker. So i added some red go to the green and some green to the red.

Thinking about artworks that exist for a long time - beyond a person’s lifetime. This example is an artwork planned with a duration of 639 years!!

In 1985 the American composer John Cage created ASLSP - a piece to be played as slow as possible. Most performances of the work (originally for composed piano and modified in 1987 for organ) range from 20 to 70 minutes. However an extreme interpretation is currently taking place at a church in Halberstadt, Germany - one which began in 2001 and is scheduled to play until 2640 - a total the duration of 639 years.

Listening to the note change hones our attention to the very perception of time. As an intergenerational project the work also sparks questions about long-term thinking and how we might design objects and situations for the future.

Quarantine selfie: a classmate took this picture of me last week for an assignment for another class. We had to do A QUARANTINE PHOTOSHOOT through FaceTime.

Fun fact about me: I like dressing up, like in heels, couture, makeup, whatever. I like the extremity of how these things transcend into art on the body.

Although the last few years I haven’t dressed up as much as I like and the last few weeks I haven’t gone anywhere 😩 I have a closet full of fun clothes Ive been “collecting” that I cant wait to wear to art shows and events.

During the quarantine, I tried to put something on everyday that made me feel artsy fartsy. This day, during my Covid photoshoot, I kept it simple and just wore some vampy lipstick.
