I just. They survive the destruction of the book of life. They survive the end of the universe. The universe ends and they persist and become unified in the backbone of a new one. And even when God says they will vanish too they persist again and again and again. Every lifetime is theirs. Every story. They have so many blank pages to fill. I have a hard time viewing that as a death. And even if it was. They got to choose what they wanted. They got to make a world and an existence for the people they loved without having to manage the weight of either side pulling on each other. They were truly given free will and they used that to give that gift to others. And I just. Can't be sad about that.
how do i reblog this ten million times. i find that this was also my takeaway from the finale and i honestly saw it as a win because they found each other again, through their own free will, free from heaven and hell intervening, and in the end they got the life they had always wanted
