carisi as the first person ever hired to work under olivia as the boss, the stray that she picked up off the street and kept when 3 different svu departments didn’t want him, chirping “take carisi with you” and “he’s eager to learn” at her detectives over and over to make them let him in and always being “sarge” then “lieu” to him when everyone else called her “liv” and teaching him everything that he knows and speaking at his goodbye party when he left for the da (“our sonny carisi…”) and showing up at the courthouse for his first arraignment (“we wouldn’t miss it”) and always knowing when he was struggling with a trial and always able to instruct him what to do next even when he doesn’t agree, and the look on her face when she tells him to let her take his place in the deli (“carisi, that’s an order”) and gun to his head he says “you’re not my boss anymore.”
