Heartbroken. Crying. Unhappy. Sad.

I know it’s just a sport and I’m just a fan but I really wanted our three-peat in the era of the smaller y cap. No one takes hockey in Florida seriously and I wanted to show them that it’s not just the pandemic that makes us great. We are great. Period. Long stop. I’m heartbroken not to get our Game Seven chance to win the Cup for a third year. Everyone against us but we could have pulled through yet again, but we didn’t.

The Avs won and congrats to them, but I’m going to bed tonight with a pit in my chest and with loss in my soul.

We did pretty great considering all of our injuries. As far as I’m concerned, Point needs surgery even if it’s still unconfirmed, and so many other of our players have various injuries that are pretty awful. So it was always an uphill battle. But I just wanted something good in 2022, instead of another 2022 loss.

2022 was the year I finally got COVID, almost definitely at work. The year I developed long COVID but get no accommodations or even sympathy at work. The year I feel like my life is falling off a literal cliff for the first time since I was hospitalized as a teenager. Nothing is going right in 2022 and I just wanted this one thing to go right and it didn’t.

I’m just a fan and it’s just a sport but I’m heartbroken and in pain and just want everything to end for a while.
