ATTACK ON TITAN S4 SPOILERS

(No manga spoilers)

RANDOM THOUGHT

I know everyone was like “oh Gabi is just like Eren. This is just from the other perspective!”

Yes, that’s true. Gabi’s anger and brainwash from Marley made her kill Sasha but... what unnerved me was her smile.

We know Eren has killed. But rather than a sense of accomplishment, or pride, we get ... this.

He looks dead. There is “no emotion” on his face. Even after killing or fighting the other side he has never shown pride or joy in the death of a person. When Armin, who has technically went through the same thing as Eren. (An orphan, dream of seeing the world beyond the walls/feeling trapped, having a Titan role forced on you, seeing people you care about die in front of you or because of you, etc). He, also has no pride or joy for deaths he has caused.

But Gabi....

Yup. She showed pride and was smiling. She was thinking “I took down a devil who hurt people I care about”. That’s what differs her from Eren. Yes, she was brainwashed to believe they were bad people. But after experiencing the Braus’ kindness, as well as Reiners take on Paradis, she knows to some extent that they aren’t the devils she thinks. She even sees Niccolo, who is Marelyan, be kind the the Braus’.

And eren and armin saw the other side, Reiner, etc as enemies as well. But they did not take satisfaction in the deaths of their enemies, the only positive emotion they showed over their deaths was relief that the violence was over. Granted, the 104th grew up with Bertholdt, Reiner, and Annie, but they still showed their other enemies they did not know personally (like the Beast Titan, Kenny squad, marelyan citizens) any joy or sense of victory/pride over their deaths.

Notice how most of the survey corps celebrate over their victory? (Well some are crying rather than celebrating or smiling) but especially Floch leading that victory yell? Like Gabi. They are too blinded.

But Sasha, Jean, and Connie are just relieved to not have lost each other. They care about each other, not the “victory” of the war. Even Jean ponders if killing Gabi does anything to help the war, other than to spur on the circle of violence.

That’s why there’s such a grey area with AOT. It isn’t good or bad. Just innocent people controlled by bad intentions. There only this side of the war and that side of the war. The different factors that lead to some expressing joy while others just relief at a “victory”. I found it super interesting. This is why I love AOT. Also it was amazingly done, so stfu MAPPA haters.

RANDOM THOUGHT/UNPOPULAR OPNION

Haikyuu manga spoilers!

I love Oikawa dont get me wrong. He’s funny, cool, hard-working, and...easy on the eyes ;). But sometimes I feel he can be a little overrated or in other words “loved too much and way too popular” in the fandom. I get the memes like nationals and shiratorizawa, as well as his quirks and “ iwa-chan”.

But areas like saying he deserved better, should’ve won/gone too nationals, made me pause. Don’t get me wrong. He works hard and has ambition. And this is not to everyone! Just die hard Oikawa fans or ppl who think of him deserving better or shouldve won nationals.

The ones who say things like “Oikawa works harder than anyone else!!! He practices so much and Kageyama isn’t the better setter because he is a prodigy that was born with talent” To those who think that had similar thoughts of past Oikawa who still harbours some of that grudge. Yes, ppl like Kageyama and Ushijima have natural strength or talent. I mean everyone has their specialty! Ushijima has strength and reflex. Kageyama has pinpoint quick sets that he can toss from everywhere as well as the ability to hide who he is setting to next. Even Oikawa himself has something the Ushikage respects; leadership skills and the ability to make their spikers hit the ball 100%.

And though considered naturally talented, Ushi and Kags are clearly passionate about the sport, as much if not more than Oikawa. Those who say he practices and works the most is not exactly right either. Even Kageyama had said to Oikawa at one point that not practicing on “break days” or weekends was such a waste. We see Kageyama staying after practice to practice even more too.

But Oikawa portrays the envy of humanity, so thats what i love about him. But he also takes away a lot of attention from other great setters like suga, kenma, akasshi,etc (miya atsumu is a quick rising star). Even ones like yahaba or semi. Oikawa portrays that sometimes hard work wont get you everything but if you keep trying and aim for your dream you will still reach it (hence him joining a national team even if its not japan).

And as much as i love ships or think the boys and girls of haikyuu are cute, hot, etc. i feel like too much focus might be put on that as well.

This is set after the time skip, and all of the Karasuno first years are now roommates. Its mostly friendship and humor, not too focused on romance(minor Kags harem tho) It will have about 8 minimum or 10 maximum mini comics that will be posted through the summer and maybe extending(depending how long i take) Some might be manga style(black and white) some might be coloured(depending on length and my laziness!

My Take on Ushijima and Kageyama

WARNING: MANGA SPOILERS!!!!!

First let me start off by saying these two are absolute twins. They would also be lowkey cute together. They both have “scary” appearances but are really softies. They are both considered powerful natural players in different ways. Kageyama is considered a genius while Ushijima has incredible power and strength. They’re both pretty well all-around players(Kageyama more than Ushijima)

They are both Oikawa’s rivals, which makes sense. Oikawa has neither natural talent or overwhelming strength(he is powerful but not more than Ushijima). Oikawa is incredibly envious of Kageyama’s talent and angry with Shiratorizawa’s natural brute force. Though after Oikawa shows his respect for Kageyama when he tells Ushijima that his kouhai is strong.

While in return, Kageyama and Ushijima have continuosly shown respect for Oikawa’s ability to unify and stablize a team. Kageyama sees Oikawa as someone to beat, someone who he admires and finds powerful. Ushijima believes Oikawa has more potential that could’ve been reached at his school. Hence the “You should have come to Shiratorizawa” meme circulating around the fandom😂

Ushijima and Kageyama rarely smile and don’t take interest in many other things besides volleyball. They are always pretty serious and have gotten closer in the time skip as they are both in Schweiden Adlers. They are also... pretty stupid. They, along with Hinata are considered “volleyball idiots”. (Also look at Kageyama’s cute little crown)

If you look on the pic below, it looks like Kags is calling him by first name, but it might be someone else. Either way they have seemingly gotten pretty close, and Ushijima may now consider Kageyama a better setter or as good a setter as Oikawa like Kageyama said he was going to prove after the final match.

They both aren’t very good with people, yet they do care, just aren’t very expressive. They both stand out in their teams. I love them both so much, and I love their relationship. Facing those two in a team is a scary thing. I mean MSBY got a lot of hype compared to Schweiden Adlers because characters like Bokuto, Atsumu, Sakusa, and of course Hinata were there.

But Hoshiumi, Kageyama, and Ushijima are equally strong and adorable in my opnion. Also I just realized, Iwaizumi is now on better terms with Kageyama and Ushijima.

Anyway, Ushikage can go ahead and join the Kageyama harem! I support it, and I hope we get more scenes of the two interracting.

I plan to make a comic series of the first years of Karasuno as roommates(including Yacchi cuz I ain’t leaving her out). So keep an eye out for it!

My Take On Kageyama And Oikawa Ending

Someone also mentioned that Oikawa and Kageyama are opposites(thank you! I forgot to mention that at the end!) What I wanted to end with is that they have similarities (want for power, very stubborn, big pride, are setters) but how they approach those things is what makes them opposites. Oikawa approaches these things with an extroverted personnality and good leadership skills, but he also doesn’t have the natural ability that Kageyama does which is what affects his pride and power. Kageyama has the natural ability but is not very good with communication and tends to come off as a jerk or “mean”. This affects his colaboration skills to get his team’s trust as well as his pride.

Oikawa and Kageyama are alike but also very different in this sense, that makes them such an enigma and what I love about their characters and their relationship. I hope this cleared up a few things!

My Take On Oikawa and Kageyama Part 2

WILL CONTAIN MANGA SPOILERS

Kageyama is also like Oikawa as they are both incredibly competetive. They both take the sport really seriously and consider it their future career. And I mean Kags is usually calm and cool headed unless he is against Seijoh, Oikawa in particular. This shows that Oikawa has had a big impact on him. They are also petty as f*ck and incredibly stubborn. Take this iconic scene for example...

...As you can see... exactly the same. Kageyama looked up to Oikawa, seeing him as someone truly powerful and amazing no matter how horrible Oikawa was to him. What he didn’t know, was Oikawa found HIM a threat. Kageyama needed Oikawa’s team spirit and leader abilities, while Oikawa wanted Kageyama’s natural abilities (amazing form and pinpoint toss). Well I mean technically he needed them too if he wanted to be better but it was more a want for more power than Kageyama’s need to be collaborative and open to other people’s opnion.

I mean poor Kageyama just wanted to learn from his senpai. But they had a natural rivalry(that Oikawa made a bit toxic tbh), and threatened by Kags’ evolution he refused.

But we can see that he was always watching Tobio. To learn about him for matches, and because he was generally invested. He was a rival but after they lost, they seem to be at a mutual understanding. (Still kind of rivals, Though i rlly hope one day they can talk it out) I can see them as a good ship (struggles of a multishipper) but their dynamic was just so interesting to me. After Kags asked for advice, Oikawa mentioned he was glad that Kageyama was more “run down, down to earth” (there were different translations) though the basic gist was that he was more human than Oikawa originally thought.

That’s all for my interpretation of their relationship. There’s a bit more that I can’t but into words. My next interpretation is going to be tsukkikage’s relationship! (Kagehina is gonna be last, cuz lets be real, I have a lot to say about them) Keep an eye out for the chibi Tsukkikage art I’m posting soon!😊

My Take On Oikawa and Kageyama Part 1

WILL CONTAIN MANGA SPOILERS!!!

One of the reasons Oikawa and Kageyama don’t get along is probably because they are a lot alike. If I didn’t mention before their relationship is probably one of my favourites. And I’m not really saying this in a romantic sense, I mean their reltionship in general. They both like milk related stuff which is pretty cute for one. (Oikawa likes milk bread while Kags likes plain milk) They are both setters and crave power. (Though both have different approaches to those things.) But their dynamic and the way their character works is such an enigma and I love it.

First we have Kageyama. A naturally talented volleyball player who has high game sense and skill. He puts all of his brain cells into the sport which might be partly because of his grandpa who is essentially the biggest role model and parent figure when he was young. He just wants to stay on the court the longest, and have fun playing. That single-minded notion is what keeps him going in volleyball. This is actually pretty realistic, people can be incredibly good at one thing but dumb in everything else, or at least have no care to learn everything else. This leads to him discarding his teammates physical abilities at Kitaichi as they can’t match up. Paired with his grandpa dying, his innocent and kind self seems to disappear by his last year at Kitaichi.

Now we have Oikawa. He is incredibly talented and outgoing. He is not a genius but has put so much practice and work into what he does to get to this point. He is obsessed with power in a different way than Kageyama. He wants to be at the top due to pride and beating Kags and Ushijima has been straining on his physical and mental health. He... I would say is the embodiment of the struggles of humanity. He really shows the realism of this show, that you can’t always win and there will always be people who have it better or are stronger. Even though he was young, he took it seriously and almost hit a pretty innocent Kageyama (thank you Iwaizumi for stopping him, you God). He is such a complex but realistic character.

I have a lot to say about their complex relationship, and I might do more of Kags relationships with other charcters. So there will be a part 2!

HAIKYUU SPOILERS CHAPTER 394!!!

Let me start off by saying: Wow... what an amazing new chapter as always. We really understand Sakusa’s way of thinking, as well as his relationship with Ushijima. He really admires and respects him it seems, as he found someone with a wicked spin on the ball as well. I love their relationship and it seems like they have great respect for one another.

We also get Sakusa’s perspective as he was someone who always wanted to finish what he started and be satisfied with his efforts. (Its right to left/ read as manga)

And the last thing I loved was a similarity to Kageyama. Both were loners and had busy family members. They can also both be intimidating and pissed easily(Kageyama more than Sakusa tho). Though Kageyama portrays this outwardly, with shouting and physical contact(grabbing hinata’s hair) while Sakusa is like.... an intimidating shadow, and is a lot more quietly aggressive.

Pffft guys I just noticed something. Blocking was Tsukki’s thing yet Kageyama was great at it too. Setting is Kageyama’s thing and what does Tsukki improve on? Setting. I love their relationship, even if they didn’t intend to learn this to piss each other off they still are salty. Their relationship is the definition of petty and I am living for it.

MANGA SPOILERS FOR HAIKYUU CH 387!

Ok but like guys, I just realized we never properly understood Kageyama Tobio. Our baby suffered. The one who was like a parent and best friend to him before Karasuno, his grandpa ,had died. We never had a proper backstory or seen Kageyama’s family. Now we see how alone he was before Karasuno. Im crying now. Thank you Hinata for helping him. And of course all of Karasuno too.
