well SOMEBODY clearly wants one DAMN
mckay is suuuch a good contrast to every other pittling in the show, especially after collins left. every single resident looks up to robby, expects a level of mentorship, and tries to live up to his standards. He is a father figure to everyone except for collins and mckay, and with collins even if she doesn't look up to him he is someone who she can/wants to depend on. Mckay? She dgaf about that man. There's absolutely a level of respect, and it's definitely not hatred, but we saw time and time again her defying robby's decisions, and when she is shown to be in the wrong (like the case with the shooting kid in s1) she just doesn't take it personally. She doesn't see her not meeting robby's ideals as a failure of her doctor abilities. If the season from last night happened with anyone other than mckay they would be so sorry and devastated not only bc their patient died but also bc robby was reprimanding them, but with mckay she was just sad that she missed a patient she clearly cared for. Her age and experiences give her such a different perspective and approach to her patient care and her dynamics within the er and she's such a good part for it. Even al-hashimi wants to be respected and approved by robby(understandable as the new attending) but mckay's concerns are never on robby's feelings but on how good she and her patient is doing.
what the fuck
she really said "I'm just that good"
It cracks me up that Joy Kwon, an American Korean who Western media loves to slot into that duty‑driven overachiever and tireless‑workhorse stereotype, be the one to triumphantly claim her right to clock off on time.
Legend. Unionise that floor, diva.
THE PITT 2.08: 2:00 P.M.
"Can you perform under pressure?" "No, but I can try Bohemian Rhapsody"
I’ll be honest, having Becca King getting seen so quickly and jumping the line even when it’s not a dire emergency because she knows someone who works there is a lot less of a sweet moment when the unknown man dies waiting to be seen because he didn’t have a connection for his similarly non-emergency concern. and then people make a joke about it.
don't think of them as human beings, think of them as americans 🇨🇦
Yeah, well... Welcome to the Wasteland.
Maximus Fallout it seems I’ve grown quite fond of you tho there are no sexual urges or desires you come to me as a long lost friend whom I once picked apples with in papa’s orchard

Don't you just love when a character is barely a person? When they're just a big lie dressed in some silly clothes? Like, who are you? What do you mean you have no idea? And yes I absolutely would love to find out.
