Hey dudes! As some of you guys know, I started working selling tickets for an NWSL club this year. It’s been awesome, and I’m lucky enough to have a second job to help bridge the gap of not being able to work at the club, but things are still, como se dice, tight. how does one get into sports photography? like how can i become one

honestly, once quarantine is over** go out and shoot as many matches as possible. i see way too many hopeful photographers getting stuck on the idea of getting credentials for the USWNT/NWSL right away & using that as an excuse to not shoot from the stands or local matches to improve their photography. build a portfolio & photograph in different environments.

once you have a solid portfolio (you can have other photogs review it if you want), email media outlets with your work and see if you can get credentialed to cover an event for the media outlet. be prepared for rejection - it happens!
