recently my friend's comics professor told her that it's acceptable to use gen AI for script-writing but not for art, since a machine can't generate meaningful artistic work. meanwhile, my sister's screenwriting professor said that they can use gen AI for concept art and visualization, but that it won't be able to generate a script that's any good. and at my job, it seems like each department says that AI can be useful in every field except the one that they know best.

It's only ever the jobs we're unfamiliar with that we assume can be replaced with automation. The more attuned we are with certain processes, crafts, and occupations, the more we realize that gen AI will never be able to provide a suitable replacement. The case for its existence relies on our ignorance of the work and skill required to do everything we don't.

I can’t sign in on mobile, period, no matter what engine I use. AO3 just isn’t built for mobile.

It IS built for mobile, I use it exclusively on my phone, as I do not own a computer as well, and I have never in my life used Ao3 on any other device other than my phone and my iPad mini when my phone broke down and had to have maintenance done on it, so there might be something wrong with your device or perhaps you might be doing something wrong 🤷🏽‍♀️

I get that the whole point of the ask was for notifs, but I'm going to be totally transparent here, Munchie will most likely not be downloading an entire other app to post the fic. I'm not speaking FOR her, I'm speaking from the conversations me and her have had in the past.

If I'm gonna be honest, you might just have to create a new ao3 account. Or continue to read as a guest (as I presume you're doing?) and simply follow both Munchie AND Chubs for fic update notifs because they always post them here.

Just for like. Extra info, do you mind me asking what phone you have? If it's android I could probably help if you needed it. And I have an apple iPad, so I could probably help that way too.
