Mahonan Lavellan is a dalish singer, songwriter, and musician who is currently the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for the rock band The Long Walk. [...] He was inspired to go into music as a young child with his older sister (Adanni Lavellan), and the two entered the rock scene as a duo in their teens, only to split later to pursue separate projects. [...] M. Lavellan would go on to form The Long Walk with good friend and noteworthy solo drummer Red Jenny. The Long Walk (often shortened to just Walk) is an elvhen rock band originating in Haven, Ferelden. The band is fronted by lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Mahonan Lavellan (stage name: Inquisitor) and drummer and keyboardist Sera (stage name: Red Jenny). They are most well known for their fast paced, aggressive rhythms and controversial lyric choices. (See section six: Controversy)

He explained that he wrote it when he was touring overseas with The Long Walk. He saw Anti-Chantry rallies everyday, and explained that he wrote it from the protester's point of view. The Templars told him if he rereleased the song or ever played the song live again that he would be sentenced to five years in prison.”
