“Look, man, you shouldn’t’ve picked that bell up! If you’d done your damn homework, you’d have known there’s a supposed curse on the thing!” Over the years, after falling for curse after curse, Lupin figured this time, this particular artifact he had targeted, he’d take a little more caution with. Turning into a cat again wasn’t on his personal agenda.

“Man, oh man! Pops, we gotta get you outta here! Remember what you thought would happen to the likes of me back when I was a cat? Well, with your crap luck, it’s friggin’ inevitable! So we gotta get outta here, pronto!”

“Obviously this is some kind of weird trap,” Zenigata shot back, his words still carrying that half-yowled cadence as he tried to get used to the changes in his mouth, short fangs now replacing his eye-teeth. His tail lashed aggitatedly behind him, causing his entire trench coat to twitch.

“You can’t get it off?!” he yowled louder, staring at him. “I can’t go with you I’ve got stolen property attached to me!”

Like a fly on the wall, Lupin the Third watched the treasure room persistently, peering through the vent in the upper corner of the room. He waited, gauging the exact moment he'd make his move. What he didn't expect was for Pops to touch the treasure with his bare hands! Crap! The vent went flying as Lupin kicked it in, swinging into the room and landing on his feet, bending at the knees. "Pops!?"

Zenigata spun, oddly light on his toes, eyes zeroing in on the thief entering the room. “Lupin!” he shouted, the words coming as more of a hiss than a roar. His vertically slit pupils focused on him rather intensely, and he fumbled with his jacket to get his... claws? on his handcuffs. “I fee-ound you! What the hell did you dyo to me?”

At this point, Pops should know better than to touch some of the odder items that Lupin had put out announcements for. Honestly, however, he’d simply been curious as to why the thief would be after a simple silver bell?

Well. Curiosity did kill the cat, as Zenigata soon learned when the bell embedded itself into the collar of his shirt, and his body began changing. Were these... paws? And ears? His pants were tight, they were ripping down the ba”ck... a tail?!
