hi hello yes, my name is akari and I have very little impulse control so here we are. ducimusadastra is an independent hsr oc blog based on the idea of astral express fleet era trailblazers! cool right? i sure thought so. anyways, give this a reblog if you wouldn't mind rping with these guys. i do apologize in advance because this is a very new blog right now so my information is minimal, but that's mostly because i'm kinda sorta actually figuring this out as i go, whoops.

She's been so busy lately ... yet it wouldn't be too far-fetched for him to assume the worst; she's always had a sort of sixth sense for things after all, an intriguing and mysterious ability... Thankfully, he always has a counter card for times like these. Act completely clueless and distract her even more.

Oh? So he's chosen to distract her directly now huh? Well she was gonna ask him to come back inside anyways so she'll let it slide this time.
"These ones are some new papers released by the Intelligentsia Guild." She offers the spines for him to take a look at the titles. "History, Astronomy, Astrology... Well the last one is a bit of a joke but still an interesting read I hope. If you're done in the garden you're welcome to look. Though the ones I think you might actually like haven't arrived yet."
Rereading my rules doc to make sure it's still good to go, and every time I hit that exclusives section I can't help but shake my head remembering why I have it.
A wild but true story, my first exposure to exclusive rpers was way back in my KHR rp days, so we're talking 2012-2015. I followed this new KHR blog that appeared and saw their rules mentioned doing exclusives and was like "oh never seen that before but ok." because it was just not common back then or in the KHR space. ( this was the wild west of tumblr rp apparently! )
Well shortly after I followed them they found someone to be their exclusive Tsuna and made a post about it which summed up to "I have my exclusive Tsuna now and won't be rping with anyone else who does that character, so feel free to unfollow me if you rp as Tsuna." I was like, "oh, ok..." because I had sent something to spark engagement and may try to get to write with them to see if we'd be a fit ( a large feat of courage on my part! I was quite timid back then ) but it was never responded to at all and this announcement was posted instead some time later. Also the way the announcement was actually worded was polite on the surface but subtly off. Still I thought that even though I'm not this person's exclusive rp partner I could at least get to read this person's threads for this character I really liked!
And then they proceed to repost their announcement every 30 min. I think it appeared on my dash 4 or 5 times before I finally unfollowed them. It was wild. I remember telling one of my friends about it as it was happening because I was baffled and actually upset by it because why not just block me or something? Be like “ hey sorry I found someone else I wanna rp with can you unfollow?”
But yeah, since that day I've always given people who mention having or being exclusive for rp partners outside of ships the side eye. It also did a good deal of damage to my willingness to reach out to people first that I'm still working on to this day...
People with aggressive rules too put me off b/c they remind me of that person, and the wildest part is that I could tell you what KHR character they had been rping as, but I couldn't tell you their url or min name anymore. It's like that one famous person's quote "people won't remember hat you said but they'll remember how you made them feel."
