What's the story between Snow and Mottle? Is it because of the favoritism or is it a mix of a bunch of different things?

It's the favoritism yeah basically Palestar treating Snowcover like she's his one true heir despite the fact that she doesn't even seem like she wants to do it lol

Mottlefur would love to be deputy and push cats around like Palestar wants but instead Snowcover gets the position and "she's not even grateful"

She's near-sighted! It won't really have an effect on the story so I've never really brought it up, but it is one of the reasons she also feels subpar to Snowcover. She hides it really well from others so really only her siblings and her mom know about it

They know that Oakclan and that it was a bad place, but in the same way that you'd feel about your parents talking about their rough hometown. "That sounds bad, good thing it doesn't affect me or my life!"

We have seen Oakclan! I probably won't do an animatic that covers any huge story moments as I do want the comic to stand on it's own (though I know I have leaned hard on the animatics to give a lot of context lol). We will see how Oakclan responds to the new prophecy in the next Oakclan moon!
