“It was only decided a short while before hand that I should come. Usually, they are created a while in advance, but it seemed someone decided to make a meeting at the last moment.”
Wyndel was almost positive that if he said his words carefully she would not assume who he was working for really. Though, in his mind it didn’t exactly matter in the end as there was a decent possibility he could get out of the situation as long as he played his cards correctly.
“By your lead, Senator.”
“ As I had assumed. No worries , sudden changes to my schedule are not something I have not had experience with. I understand that it was out of your control. “
As undesirable as these last-minute meetings were , she had grown to become used to them. There was hardly any other choice , despite the annoyance they often brought her , but there was no point in taking it out on someone who likely had little say on the matter.
“ Of course , right this way , “ The diplomat replied with a courteous nod as she began leading the course back up to her office.
Truthfully, Wyndel didn’t like being on Republic worlds these days, and he always feared that the Jedi would find him. He was strong, in his own right, but always there was someone who could best him; Jedi Masters especially.
Of course, he followed the Senator in silence, his thoughts however raced, and while he wasn’t told exactly what was on the device he was given? He almost didn’t want to play it now.
If anything, he wanted to leave before things got too difficult for him, and he would have to resort to another type of negotiations. Negotiations of the aggressive kind.
Only once they were near her office, did Wyndel actually speak again, and he seemed just a little nervous as his words came out.
“Truth be told, I do not know what is on this recording...I just know that I was to deliver it.”
Wyndel could hear the words the Captain said quite clearly, he knew the meaning of what type of situation they were in, and all the while he seemed to not exactly grasp the concept of how badly it was... he knew that he had to take the advise of his Captain.
“You’re right.”
Truth be told, he shouldn’t have let the anger take hold of him like this, but he did. It was actually one of the first times it had ever happened and he hoped it would be the last. The problem was that he simply didn’t trust himself.
It was the kind of trust he should have grasped, but he knew that unless he was fully prepared he wouldn’t get out of this alive, and the Klankers were going to break through any moment now.
“Casualties of war are unavoidable, I know this, and you are correct. We need to move... however, I know this is my fault. If I would have moved sooner.... I could have saved lives.”
Captured!
Wyndel should have known that asking for something out of his cooperation was a bad move. It wasn’t as if he had anything other than what little information he had, but staying alive was why he was here.
Not his loyalty to his former Order, not his own lust for power, but the simple fact that he was only caring about himself. Selfishness in it’s finest hour, a path that had been down many times, and still was on.
“Remaining alive is all I expect.” Liar, he expected to be out of the cell, and to actually be able to have some control in his life. However, that was not not going to happen anytime soon, and he knew it.
“I have no reason to mislead you.” Liar, he had every single reason to do so. Every reason to give false information, but he wouldn’t. No, he wouldn’t give information that would get him tortured. He would tell the exact truth that he remembered and knew.
“What do you want to know?”
Kylo restrained his urge to chastise the Jedi for already attempting to deceive him. Every action the fallen warrior was taking was for his benefit, not those he’d sworn to protect so long ago. In the end, what he told them would ultimately serve the First Order’s purposes, so Kylo chose to proceed with the questioning.
“Your associates, your fellow Jedi in the temple…they fled and spread themselves throughout the galaxy. You will tell me where they are,” he commanded, his hand clenched into a fist that he held up and shook in front of the Jedi. “They will fall by my hand.”
Wyndel lofted an eyebrow quickly, “Yes, I know they they will fall, and all that stops you is a simple matter of what I know. However, the problem with telling you is that there are so many places that they could hide.”
“My time in the Order was due to the fact I am Force sensitive. I, had little choice in the matter, and I am doing this out of good graces.” He paused for a moment, “I give you want you want, you let me live, and I get out of this cell.”
“Now, the most common place for where they most commonly would be is in the Outer Rim. That is exactly where I would go and it seems like that would be a great place to start. However, I also know of a plan that you may not like - I could contact the Order directly. Lead them into a trap... if I still remember how to do it.”
“It was only decided a short while before hand that I should come. Usually, they are created a while in advance, but it seemed someone decided to make a meeting at the last moment.”
Wyndel was almost positive that if he said his words carefully she would not assume who he was working for really. Though, in his mind it didn’t exactly matter in the end as there was a decent possibility he could get out of the situation as long as he played his cards correctly.

apprentice-legion:
Wyndel could actually feel this time someone was there as he made his way forward, he knew what he had to do now, and it wasn’t cause a scene. He couldn’t exactly pinpoint it still as he quickly made his way towards one of the side alleys.
Before he could fully get there though he ran straight into someone and it was then that his presence was known. The woman, that he ran into quickly made her way off, but his lightsaber.. his primary one had been knocked to the ground somehow, and that was exactly what revealed his presence.
He knew that if someone was there… if that presence he managed to feel was there it was then that they would be able to single him out. It was then that he would have been caught. However, he didn’t seem to mind those thoughts at this moment in time as he quickly used the Force to bring his lightsaber to his hand.
All he had to do now was wait. If there was someone following him, he would know, and even though patience was not his strong suit? He would try… for now at least… he would try.
Anakin heard something drop and he looked over to see a lightsaber not to far off that was being pulled by the force. There. He found him.
Now he just had to stop himself from immediately going ofter him. He had to not cause a scene. Why did they send him to do this. The council knew how he was. He took action, he didn’t do well with discreet.
The Jedi took a breath to calm himself. He had eyes on him now. All he had to do was wait and follow him, how hard could that be?
Wyndel took in a deep breath and let it out very slowly as he made his way forward. There was nothing stopping him from taking his time and he still didn’t exactly think that he was being followed.
While he was still feeling the presence, he decided it would be best to not focus on it, and started to use the Force to calm himself. He needed patience and not full out rage.
It was then that he came to the realization that he was being followed just slightly, he could feel that, but it also could have been paranoia. His own guilt for leaving the Order, his own ideas of being followed by every Jedi on the planet, and of course the lingering doubts of what he had done was morally as well as ethically right.
He let a deep sigh escape his lips as he finally made his way into a side ally to lean against a wall. He needed to get his head clear, and the only way to do that was through his own version of relaxation. Yet, he still kept the lightsaber tightly in his grasp... just to be safe.
