"I'm sure she will. Especially given how much compassion you seem to preach to her on a regular basis," Samantha said genially. "I figure the teenage years are what most parents dread," she considered with a laugh. "Do you really think she'll be the door-slamming type? My parents told me I was nothing like that so who knows, maybe she'll be a more docile teen too?"

April laughed, "No, I don't see her as the type but those hormones haven't started yet," she pointed out, "And besides, I was an okay teen. Or at least I hope I was. I'll have to ask my dad. I suppose we'll wait and see with Isla either way. I've got a few years left, yet.

"You're more than welcome to borrow these wings if you choose to go for a similar vibe next year. It'd be a shame for them to go to waste after all," Trin offered up warmly to her friend. "Definitely not. I think having one and not having one are both wonderful ways to pass the evening. I've had a lovely evening hopping in and out of conversations and catching up with friends. Plus I love seeing how creative the costumes can get. People outdo themselves every year."

"Maybe I will but then, what would you wear? Are you not going to do wings again?" April asked, raising an eyebrow slightly, "They really do, don't they?"

"That's incredibly valid. It could get dangerous very swiftly," Piper considered when the blonde posed a very plausible hypothetical. "Well now I've got a new fear unlocked," she added with a laugh. "But I suppose maybe it'll be more effective in me stepping away from it when I really start feeling a lull in my energy levels."

April laughed, "I would say sorry but I guess that was my intention so that you wouldn't do that," she admitted, "That is a good idea. It's a good idea to take a break before you get burned out. Besides, it might refresh your mind with ideas."

"And if it doesn't go well?" Jordi asked. "I mean, I have faith that'll go well, but also, this is a lot for a kid, and with what you two went through. Coming from someone who was a kid when the most traumatic things happen to them, kids know, no matter how hard you try to shield them from it. So, we should prepare if she doesn't take it well. What's your plan?"

"I've already explained to her that I don't love her dad anymore. That it happens sometimes and people shouldn't stay together if they don't both love each other anymore. That people should be happy together," April paused and kissed him softly, "So when I tell her that I love you and that you make me happy. Happier than anyone else ever has. She will understand. She's very mature for her age, you know?"

"What? You mean you aren't available to be my personal shopper every time I go out?" Isabelle joked lightly, giving a laugh though at the suggestion of buying it, Isabelle wrinkled her nose and gave a little shake of her head. "I think I'll pass. Even if I did like it, I'd just get reminded of this debacle every time I put it on." Isabelle explained. "And then I think it would take away from the enjoyment of it."

"Afraid not. Those bouquets won't arrange themselves, you know?" April replied with a chuckle, "That's a shame. It is pretty. But I do understand the sentiment at the same time. Bad memory associations create a bad aura."

"That sounds like a pretty good way to spend an evening to me, but then again, I don't have a child and so I don't have the pleasure of those on a regular basis. I can completely see why that might become too much if you have to do it regularly.

"Well actually, the Play D'oh is coming up less now as she gets older but she's still very much into Frozen and princesses. I love doing those things with her but I'd like to take my mom had off for a bit."

"Yeah?" Jordi asked, raising his eyebrows in question at her. "I think it would be a good idea. You know, before she runs in on us kissing one day."

"Exactly and it's getting very hard to keep my hands off you even when she is around," April said with a slight smirk as she leaned against him, "I also want her to see that I'm happy, that we're happy, and to show her what..." she paused, biting her lip, "What real love looks like," she finally finished, knowing there was a lot of weight behind the word.

"Trust me, so do I." Jackson agreed with a laugh laugh as he patted his hair in a jokingly protective manner, though he really wasn't looking forward to the idea of losing it. There was something about it being such a part of him at this point that it was almost like losing a bit of himself. "I'm sure you'll have some choice words for me if I don't."

"I would never be so cruel," April replied with a giggle, "I would definitely need to get photo evidence though," she teased.

"While I'm bummed you won't join me, I am not one to keep you from him either," Trinity replied with a soft laugh. "I hope the two of you have a great night. I've got some snacks that'll keep me company."

"Are you sure there isn't anyone you'd want to spend tonight with?" April asked, trying to figure out if her friend was interested in anyone. She did love playing wingwoman.

Charlie admittedly felt a little bit of guilt creep in when she saw the woman's frown. "I uh– well I suppose if I had to choose I'd say the first one. Also when you'd presented them to me it felt like the one you were most excited about."

April's face brightened a little, looking down at her phone again, "Yeah, I suppose you're right," she replied. She was definitely feeling more excited about the first, "Not sure why I doubted it. I guess I'm just overthinking. It's more important than I thought."

"Your faith in me means more than you know," Elena replied softly. This had all been foreign land for her to navigate, but having a strong support system around her had been more comforting than she could ever express. "I really... really hope so. It's scary to put myself first when there's so many casualties here. I just hope everyone knows my true intentions and that I want the best for everyone in the end."

April smiled softly and hugged the woman, "It's easy to have faith in you. You're a badass," she said over her shoulder, "Anyone who doesn't understand your intentions, doesn't deserve to be in your life and that's the end of it. Everyone else, will protect you fiercely."

"You seem better for it. Happier. I think that while that was difficult on its own accord, you still paved the way for your own happiness and did right by Isla too," she said in reply as she squeezed April's hand back. "Thank you. You really have no idea how much I appreciate that."

"It's not like she couldn't see her father if he wanted to anyway and if she doesn't, she has Jordi who is always there for her," April said. It was a lie. She hadn't let Isla's father see her since they left, not that he had actively tried too much. He just pretended to to act like he cared, "I know you well enough to know that if you make this decision, it is what's best for you and your family."

"Well uh– I'm not sure I'm the right person to be helping you with that," Charlie replied, uncertainty painted across her features as she looked at the other. "Is there someone else you could talk to who might be better equipped?"

"I'm not asking for expert advice," April said, frowning as she pulled the phone back and looked at the two present ideas for Jordi, "Just a second opinion. Which of the two would you prefer?"

"Champagne for two, please," Willow asked the bartender once they came over to them. Once she had them in hand, she passed one off to the other, "You looked like you could use a drink. Cheers," she said as she clinked her glass with the blonde's.
