"Exactly and it's getting very hard to keep my hands off you even when she is around," April said with a slight smirk as she leaned against him, "I also want her to see that I'm happy, that we're happy, and to show her what..." she paused, biting her lip, "What real love looks like," she finally finished, knowing there was a lot of weight behind the word.

"And if it doesn't go well?" Jordi asked. "I mean, I have faith that'll go well, but also, this is a lot for a kid, and with what you two went through. Coming from someone who was a kid when the most traumatic things happen to them, kids know, no matter how hard you try to shield them from it. So, we should prepare if she doesn't take it well. What's your plan?"

Ciara didn't know how long she was asleep but when she woke up, she felt a familiar warmth around her hand. She thought at first that it was Cam but when she opened her eyes, she saw her brother. She smiled for a moment until everything came back to her and she gasped, sitting up, "Cam? Where's Cam? Is he okay?"

"Woah, woah, woah," Jordi moved quickly to keep her from getting up, scared she would hurt herself. "He's fine, Octavia is with him right now. He's in another room, he came in pretty worse for wear too. What the heck happened, Ciara? When I got the call... I thought," Jordi got choked up, shaking his head lightly.

Jordan held Ciara's hand lightly, his thumb stroking the top of it gently. He barely ate or slept since the hospital called. Jordi smiled lightly when he saw his sister's eyes. "Hey bug, how are you doing?"

"Sounds to me like you're onto something there," Valeria replied when she heard his suggestion. "Maybe you should hold onto that and sell the idea for profit. Or maybe you want to do a career shift and open a restaurant business?" she suggested with a chuckle.

"And take over your spotlight?" Jordi asked. "Maybe you should do it here. I'll stick with running a business with plants."

"Hey, so I was thinking, maybe..." April paused as they walked to find a nice spot to watch the fireworks, "In the new year, maybe we could talk to Isla about about you. I mean, about us, being together. I think it's about time, don't you?"

"Yeah?" Jordi asked, raising his eyebrows in question at her. "I think it would be a good idea. You know, before she runs in on us kissing one day."

"Not childish exactly but it's childish wonder most definitely. I think the thing we love the most about christmas is just how... it brings up back to happy childhood memories. At least for those of us who are fortunate enough to have them." And she didn't mind been seen as childish for that. In fact, she took it as a compliment.

"Yeah," Jordi agreed, though when he remembered childhood Christmases, it just made him sad. The happy memories with his parents were soured the day his father was arrested. "I think I definitely think about my later Christmases than my childhood ones, honestly."

"Well what if they do mini versions? That way you could get more variety without feeling like you've gone for everything?" she suggested with a shrug. "Or maybe you can just come back a few times this week? Get something new each time to get a taste of each flavor that's tickling your fancy."

"Dang, people should do more mini version stuff, I feel like there's always sampler platters that are the same five items. Restaurants should do like an option where you get to pick five things you want to sample from a list of items that you can make smaller."

After one last kiss to the forehead for Isla, April shut the door behind her and locked it. She reached out for his hand and smiled excitedly, "The best date of my life? Now I really wish you'd tell me what we're doing, I can't contain my excitement."

"Nope," Jordi replied, popping the 'p'. "Not until we get there, I want you to be thoroughly surprised."

"I'm always a little here and there. I love the warm weather but I also love what comes with winter. All the warm clothing, the autumn drinks and snacks..." Lucie listed off with a little smile. "There is just something magical about winter as Christmas rolls in. I suppose I never really grew up much, did I." She could admit, knowing she loved the enchantment of the decorations and the season. "But that sounds like a good plan to me."

"I mean, I don't think it's childish to like Christmas and still have it feel magical," Jordan replied. "It is nice to have it cooler here around Christmas, there's definitely something good about it, verses it feeling like summer during Christmas when there's all those songs about white Christmases and stuff."

"What's holding you back? You seem pretty interested," Val had leaned lightly over to ask as she spotted the other eyeing the display in the window. "I say treat yourself. Plus it looks to me they've been made fresh so I don't know about you but I will absolutely be hopping on that."

"If I treated myself, I'd be buying one of everything," Jordi replied with a light laugh. "I just don't know what to choose."

April went to get the door and gave the sitter the rundown, though she knew most of it already. She then hugged Isla and made her promise to listen to the woman looking after her. It was their usual tradition and Isla gave her a pinky to wrap her own around, "Okay, say goodbye to Jordi, sweetheart," she said, moving toward her date and nodding. The eight-year-old ran over to Jordi and hugged him tightly. April thanked the sitter and let her know when she would be home, "Okay, ready."

"Bye kiddo," he said, ruffling her hair lightly. Jordi opened the door to let April out. "So are you ready for the greatest date of your life? I don't mean to brag, but I think I planned some things you'll really enjoy."

"It's so beautiful!" It wasn't as though Lucie hadn't seen the sea before of course, but it was nice to be able to get out and enjoy it whilst they still had the weather and to be able to have some time away from the shop too. "You know I'm going to run straight in there once I've found a place to set up for the day."

"It's nice that we're still getting some warm days, I'm going to miss this when it gets a bit cooler. Although, I'm not gonna lie, this is kinda cold for me," Jordan replied with a laugh. That was one think he never got used to after moving to the U.K., the cold. Back home it was hot and Jordi was like a lizard. He enjoyed the warm and the sun. "Definitely, maybe we can find somewhere close to the water?"

"Sometimes intent and understanding end up being two different things. It's a slippery slope." Lucie stated with a smile on her lips. "You may just have to watch what you say, J." She teased back lightly. "One of these days I might choose to misunderstand your words."

"You're not." Cecilia assured him. "Though I am surprised at just how open you are. At least it seems you're not the type to lie given you can't seem to hide a thing." Cecilia laughed softly when he practically confirmed as much with his next comment. "Well you seem very happy and that is good."
