I am worried about the swedes of color, there is so many openly racist laws being passed here in sweden currently
Black and brown and asian swedes have to jump through a social gauntlet to get below average opportunities that white swedes take for granted and its disgusting, a lot of them living in constant fear of being deported and working on shitty contracts that are tied to their right of residency, which means that if they lose their job or the salary requirement gets changed to be higher they will lose everything and be deported, and Swedish government is working their damn hardest to raise the minimal salary required. People who have been living here for decades are threatened with having all their rights being stripped off and deportation
Don't let the white supremacist Swedish stereotype fool you, there is no sweden without people of color
I have just been informed that one of my coworkers has committed suicide when these law changes were revealed due to stress caused by the extremely exploitative job and active threat of losing her home and everything she has, and honestly it makes me so sick that nobody talks about how racist scandinavia can be and how badly marginalized swedes have it, everybody is treating us as others, non swedes, despite living here and paying taxes and speaking your language, this system is so corrupt and rigged against all of us but ESPECIALLY against brown people, muslism and black people, it makes me so sick. There's no sweden without us.
These laws and working conditions are killing people these people have no choice but to comply, if you stop working or dont work enough, due to disability or sickness your right to live here in sweden is revoked, doesnt matter your whole livelihood is here. It is work under threat of violence, and minority mentally ill and other people in need of help are the first ones to feel the effects of it, so disgusting.
I hope she rests in peace and that this system of exploitation, racial classism and racial police violence falls and burns.
thinking about how for 15 months we watch people collect fragments of their loved ones in plastic bags because of israeli bombing shredding and vaporizing human beings, and only because one of those fragments ended up being an israeli hostage is all of israel up in arms and threatening more genocide. they never faced the ugliness of their own actions, the reality of carpet bombing indiscriminately, until it was one of their own returned in fragments mixed with other people, although she was given the dignity of a coffin instead of plastic bags divided into 70kg of viscera to define a person.
i agree that collecting people in fragments is enraging. i thank israel for reminding me precisely how angry i ought to be. every human life is equal so i will make sure to remain ten orders of magnitude angrier.
i get so annoyed when ppl are like 'why did grimes let elon hit 3 times'..............are you stupid? the answer is obvious. if i'm scared of bees and see a bear sticking its paw in a honey comb is the bear an unwilling participant? is the bear terrified of bees and powering through just bc? no bitch the bear likes honey and the bees do not bother it one way or another!!!! that white bitch don't gaf that he's every -ist under the sun!
the inherent innocence given to white women is amazing to witness though bc they out here humanizing melania swearing up and down she hate her husband and can't stand to be next to him......you're delusional. looney bin. get in the fucking padded cell. i saw a tweet the other day that had a list of elon's kids and they're like 'and they're all going to hate him' you literally do not know that. beyond vivian the trans icon who has spoken up about her feelings.........you do not know that and ppl only assume that bc they're white and apparently white ppl born and/or married into privilege all vehemently fight against the systematic violence done to establish their place in the hierarchy......despite evidence to the contrary
thats the thing thats missing from america-centric discussion of fascism: this shit is global. every country in “the west” is seeing the same rise of fascism in real time, all of it focused on murdering migrants. like giorgia meloni is campaigning to deport people to “migrant camps” in albania. last year the greek coast guard outright drowned a boat of 500 asylum seekers. and as that last post said im not dismissing the suffering of people within the US, i’m just saying its so supremely frustrating that every conversation is about the minutiae of american domestic policy and not the horrifying ultranationalist global trend scapegoating arabs and africans.
my point is you need to be horrified that “border control” is an accepted talking point. you need to be aware of the fact that climate change is currently driving what will become the largest forced movement of people ever as the “third world” becomes uninhabitable. people—specifically people from africa and west asia—are dying in the name of white supremacist “borders” around the world. and whether your european or american when you see this rhetoric manifest in your country you need to push back.
I finally made the meme I've had in my head for over a year
People being doomers and defeatist about climate change is really so interesting because you try to tell them they’re being unhelpful and they start tweaking out
Like okay it’s never gonna go back to how it was but we still have time to do shit in the present and if you’re so deadset on that there’s nothing to do what then?? Like are you gonna kill yourself? No?? Okay so let’s do some damage control and be active in our community and try and try and try
If you’re white and a defeatist I’m judging you especially hard like you literally need to snap the fuck out of it and get a grip. People are still here and the world is still here and you’re still here so get up
“Queer people need to get weirder-” you can’t handle like. A lesbian.
The funniest part of this post is everyone in the tags immediately making it about things other than lesbians. You can’t even handle like. Thinking about a lesbian.
you all hate lesbians so bad it is slowly melting your brains i just watch in fascination
"make everyone bisexual" is such a loaded and nasty phrase. i would commit acts of terrorism before i would accept mandated bisexuality LOL
oh you're going to impose a sexuality on me? someone who had to be sexually liberated in the first place? i'll kill you

the revolution will not be memefied the revolution will not fall out of a coconut tree the revolution will not be elected the revolution will not be an instagram reel the revolution will not be published by duke university press or verso books the revolution will not be a sponsored collaboration the revolution will not be brat summer the revolution will not be found in your iphones the revolution will not be a pithy slogan on a screen printed t-shirt the revolution will not be a podcast the revolution will not be a medium op-ed the revolution will not be for consumption the revolution is not a spectacle there are no spectators everyone participates whether they know it or not
this is a deliberately obtuse response to a post discussing the ways in which consuming media is not in and of itself a revolutionary act. this is not about using technology and different modes of communication, this post is about those who think that consuming media is in and of itself a revolutionary act, which it is not. art and media are tools through which one can begin to gain revolutionary consciousness, but consuming media is not an inherently revolutionary act. to think that any of that is a example of praxis is incredibly naive. none of those things mean anything without actual organization and working with other comrades in the struggle, and to think one is “participating” through watching a fifteen second instagram reel is stupid. as gil scott-heron, whose work is explicitly referenced in my post, articulated over fifty years ago, the revolution will not be something you passively observe (he discusses television, though i would add “phones podcasts and reels”), the revolution will be live
have yall seen the new guide that tumblr posted on how to avoid scammers?😶
i feel like its a little......... targeted. to say the least

If you want to know what's up in Argentina:
Argentina has, historically, the right to public FREE quality university for all citizens and residents on its soil. This is considered a right and, although the system has its faults, it's considered the pillar of Argentina's middle professional class and a tool for upward mobility.
Last week, against HEAVY popular citizen support for the national public university system, Congress decided to support Javier Milei's veto that halts the public university's funding to inoperative levels.
Although the goverment and other friendly politicians assure this is about keeping numbers balanced, the money the Argentinian goverment gives to the system is less than 0,14% of the GDP. This is ideological. This is about less rights.
The President has claimed in interviews before and after his presidency that he considers free university "a degeneracy" and useless, although the Argentinian public university system has been lauded internationally (with high global rankings of UBA, Universidad de Cordoba, UNLP and Nobel prizes for its graduates) and is considered one of the tools for the working class's social mobility and the creation of Argentina's professional middle class.
The response to these measures that directly goes against the people's wishes have been instant.
There are now massive university takeovers all over the country, including very conservative areas and faculties with a population that refrains from these measures and have indeed voted for Milei's Libertarian party. Argentinian's Student Movement is historic, relentless and goes back to the 1916 Reform. It has coordinated and birthed several historical moments country-wise and was famously targeted by authoritarian regimes (like 1976's US-backed Military Dictatorship'a genocide and 1990s Neoliberalist Menem's policies).
The last two decades the movement has been disjointed, even fangless, but it seems Milei and the Congress's blatant corruption and disregard for what is considered a basic right has awakened a dormant beast.
Keep an eye on us, alright? Please.
