i am by no means "good" at html but i know how it works a bit, i used this tutorial(link) and this site(link) to make my gradients hex codes, you can even choose the number or colors for longer words

you have to be on pc so you can use the HTML text editor, also make sure you put your letter youre changing the color off between the <span style="color: #B00B69">(letter)</span> stuff or tumblr will explode all your work when you check its working/post
