Indie RP Multi-ship Sideblog for Mikleo from Tales of Zestiria. Mun is over 18 and is willing to roleplay SFW and NSFW, and welcomes multiverse and AU roleplays as well, but will not force ships with characters muse is not comfortable with.

Rubbing his chin a bit, he hides a rather discreet blush lighting his cheeks. “I see. If it helps you,I wouldn’t mind trying it out.” He says, offering the other a kind smile. Other than the fact that this would help the both of them, it would be interesting to see what the rest of it entails.

“It would help us both, if we run into these Hellions, right?” He chimes after, happily waving his finger in a gesture.

 “I suppose it’s a good thing Gramps raised me the way he did. Only Grand Seraphs can form bonds, and I just recently became one myself,” Mikleo commented before holding out his hand to Iwao, turning to face him directly.

 “Be warned, once this contract is formed, you will walk a path unlike any other. You will see things that no one else can, and there will be things that you perceive different than others. You will be able to see seraphim, such as myself, but hellions will also be visible, and the malevolence of the world will try to weigh you down more then ever. Knowing this and the dangers that come with such a bond, do you still wish to try this?”

“I honestly can’t really consider myself having a cruel bone in my body. I’d sooner probably get my ass kicked than actually bring harm to someone, much less kill them.” He jokes, rubbing the back of his head. “Then again, I prefer to talk things over than fight.”

“And I’m more than positive you’re worth looking at, if your voice is anything to go by.” Wait, was that an attempt to be nice, or a flirt? It was extremely hard to tell. The other’s offer seemed to catch his attention, his expression changing into that of genuine curiosity. “What exactly do you have in mind?” He questions, canting his head to the side.

 He nodded at the comment before blushing and looking away when Iwao complemented his voice.

“Th-Thank you,” he replied, kicking himself mentally for the slight stammer, “You have a wonderful voice, too... and you are a very nice-looking young man.” He shook his head to try and rid himself of the embarrassment, then looked back to Iwao. “It’s a pact. Seraphim can form pacts with humans and use them as vessels to channel their power, and if the vessel is pure, then it also helps strengthen their power a little. It’s kind of like when a smaller stream meets up with a river. It provides it with more water and makes the current just a little bit stronger,” he tried to explain. “But just like it helps us, it will make you a bit stronger, as well, though I don’t know all of the advantages and disadvantages to such a bond.”

“A seraph…? Alright I’ll try to remember that Mister Mikleo!” Niko nodded seriously and then smiled back to him. There was a lot they didn’t understand at the moment but they could understand that being called a ghost had upset their new acquaintance.

“Ah, there is? I can’t believe I didn’t even notice it. I guess it blends in with the walls a lot.” Then again, the child had also only given the room a brief look around when they woke up in the room. The last they remembered was that they had the lightbulb but now it’s gone. Had they returned the sun to the world? Was it gone? Had they completely messed up? Taking for the hand Niko stood up and smiled up to the water seraph. They couldn’t be a ghost if they were solid like this!

 “It took me a second to find it, too. We need to figure out why we’re here, and what’s going on. Would you mind if I asked you to lead the way, Niko?” he asked the child.

 “Since you can barely see me, I have no doubt others can’t see me at all, and I don’t want to startle them with ‘ghosts’ opening and closing doors on their own,” he said, teasing them slightly and trying to show it didn’t bother him too much.

The young man couldn’t help but feel bad for the seraph, despite barely seeing him. Taking a breath, he looks up to him, as if trying to focus on his general shape. That might help, right? “So then even we humans can become these Hellions, right?” He questions. Iwao himself was a pretty docile-natured man, not usually wanting to wish harm or death on anyone. All he wanted was his family to be safe and happy.

“If it makes you feel better..” He starts, still trying to focus on the other in order to try and see him better. “I’ll do everything in my power to help you not go down that road. Nobody deserves to be dragged down like that.” His words were simple, but carried a good bit of meaning to them. Despite the two knowing so little about one another, Iwao already seemed to consider the seraph someone worthy of protecting. “I can’t in the right conscience watch someone suffer, after all.” It wasn’t that he believed Mikleo would become corrupted any time soon, it was a simple gesture to show he cared..

 Mikleo nodded, his face showing his dislike of the thoughts. “It takes someone with a cruel and unforgiving heart most of the time to become a Hellion. I doubt you to be that kind of person,” he replied before looking directly at Iwao. He noticed the hard look he was getting and was confused for a moment before a small smile came on his face when he realized what the other male was doing.

 “You know, I don’t think that will work. Unless you’re trying to check me out, and my argument to that would be that you are wasting your time, because I’m hardly worth looking at,” the water seraph joked, though there was a slight flush to his cheeks. He looked away for a second while trying to actually figure out a way to make him more visible to Iwao before an idea came to mind. “There is something we might could do, in terms of making myself easier to see... It would be weird, but it might benefit us in the long run, and it would make me strong enough to protect you should we run into any Hellions.”

Iwao nods his head, agreeing with the other. “Good point— Wait, hellions? What are those?” He questions, canting his head to the side. He might as well get as much information as he can, right? It would be a while til they got to his home, anyways.

 “They are creatures or spirits overcome by the Malevolence. That is to say, they have been corrupted by hate, anger, or any other negative emotions or actions. Think of it like polluting a natural water source. It doesn’t take much to cause the corruption, but once it happens, it has several negative effects and takes a lot of work to make things better,” Mikleo explained, looking rather upset. “Humans can be such greedy and violent things... and it causes reactions with their surroundings that nobody ever things twice about...”

 He slowed slightly and hung his head, the next part coming out much more quietly. “Malevolence hurts us seraph more than anyone realizes, and too much of it can even cause us to turn into things unlike any human has ever seen...”

Seeing the flinch along with the actions to calm them had the child calming down a bit, more so as Mikleo explained and spoke calmly. It was a soothing action. Even more upon realizing that this person was trapped in here just like them. 

Niko caught a few more snowflakes upon their covered hands and looked a bit sad before wiping that off their face to speak, “Sorry mister Mikleo…. You’re see through so…” They shook their head and then continued, “My name is Niko and I’m not from here either and I don’t know how to get out either. I just kind of woke up here… Didn’t even realize I was in a tower to be honest. I just know it’s dark.”

 He nodded, crossing his arms in thought as he listened to the child. “I suppose I can reason with that logic. I’m technically a seraph, but I suppose if that sounds a bit strange, you could call me a ‘nice ghost’,” he said giving a small smile.

 Mikleo looked around before noticing a door behind where Niko was, though it was the same color as the walls around it. “Well, since we’re both stuck here and we are both lost, why don’t we try to help each other find our way home?” he suggested. “There’s a door over here, let’s see if this leads anywhere?” he asked, walking up to them and holding his hand out to help them up.

 Mikleo let out a quiet sigh as he sat out some steps, slowly reading through the book that currently at attention. He was closer to the far left side, away from where most people walked, and so used to being unseen or unnoticed, he didn’t think for a second that someone would see him, nor would they approach him for no apparent reason.

While Niko was sitting there, trying to figure out what to do with their current situation. They were trapped alone in a room with nothing to do and no way out. So they just curled up and hugged their knees quietly. What could they do to get out of there. If only they had some help. 

When the first of the snowflakes fell onto them they gasped in surprise and awe. It was snowing! Indoors! Was this magic? Was this room magic? Not really caring the small child began to play with the small amount of snow when they felt a presence. Turning around they jumped at the barely visible person standing there.

“Ghost!!”

 Immediately upon being spotted, Mikleo flinched at being called “Ghost”. However, the fright upon the kid’s face made him worry even more, and he immediately held up his hands in an attempt to show he meant now harm.

 “Please, calm down! I won’t hurt you, I promise! I was only trying to help you, you seemed upset!” he said calmly, even using some of his artes to show that he was the one making the snow. “Please don’t be alarmed. My name is Mikleo, and I’m not exactly from here. Could you tell me why you are in this tower, and how to get out of here?”

Iwao rubs his chin in thought. “It depends on how decayed the ruins are. I’ve gone through an old set of ruins in Mexico. An ancient burial ground, even.” He says with a happy hum. “Mind you, the photos were for a client. As for food and sleeping supplies, that might be a good idea.” He says, nodding his head and being sure of himself.

Pulling out a small note pad and a pen, he would write things down. “Non-perishable food items, an adequate amount of water, sleeping rolls, a backpack for said supplies.. Well, I have my wilderness gear back home, and it comes with two sleeping bags. As for food and water rations, we’ll need to go to the store.” He explains, before standing up. “Come on, let’s go! I’m sure that even if Papa and Dad can see you, they won’t mind you.” He says, offering the seraph a smile in turn.

 “Well, we should make sure you don’t load yourself down too much, either. These ruins are old, so they might have hellions in them, too. I can protect you partially from them, but I can’t kill them if we do happen across any. Our best bet would be to hide, and wait for them to leave.”

 When he suggested he come along to his parents house, he nodded, though he seemed skeptical on the idea of Iwao’s family seeing him. “Somehow, I doubt they will, but if they do, I’ll be happy to meet them,” he stated, smiling back at the human before walking behind him on the way to the other’s house.

Iwao blinks, canting his head in an inquisitive manner. “Well… I suppose I can. I’ll just text Dad that I’ll be abroad again.” He says, fishing his phone from his pocket, before typing quickly on the touch screen with his thumb alone.

When he received a message back, he smiles back at the seraph, before placing the device in his pocket once more. “I’m sure he’ll love them, too.” He replies with a gentle chuckle. Little did Mikleo know, Iwao absolutely loved to travel and explore. He couldn’t get enough of it! To have a traveling buddy was like a dream come true to him, in all honesty.

 The grin that spread across his face was nothing short of dorky and excited. Hearing that he would get to travel with someone again and get to go to some ruins with him had him beyond excited. “Alright, so what do we need to do for you to get ready? Do you need to get any sleeping materials together? What about things for food or protection? Do you know how to handle going through ruins?”

 Iwao will have to forgive the young seraph, he’s just making sure that the precious boy will be okay.

 Mikleo noticed two things immediately: First, he was in a small-ish room surrounded by windows in what seemed to be a really tall tower. The second was that there was a small child all by themselves in the tower, and said child seemed to be sad, and rather lonely. Seeing them in such a state made him wonder if he could do anything to cheer the child up, and he quickly came up with an idea.

 He summoned up some snow and made the few flakes he could get going in the warm room float down around the youngster, hoping it would be enough to maybe get their attention at least.

“If i end up with a cold then im blaming only one thing, my wonderful friend Mikleo, got it?” shaking some more water off himself before joining him in looking at the structures. “Seems like this is a whole new section from how untouched it looks, more then likely a blocked off area we couldn’t get to before” he speculates.

“I honestly wonder how many different routes there are into this ruin, and why they were built..”

 “If this is a completely new part, then there is no telling how many different paths. As for why they were built, I imagine all the different paths were made just in case of an attack, or possibly in case a part of the structure gave way, so they would have another way to get out or around,” Mikleo said, his voice full of wonder.

 “I wonder if there are any other hidden rooms, or what might be in them, if there are?” he questioned, eyes scanning over the walls around them for anything noticeable.

He only seemed mildly put off by the fact that the other didn’t know what photography was, but seemed delighted at the same time that the seraph seemed curious. Slowly taking his camera from his neck, he would cycle through some pictures. “It’s an art form, where one takes still images through cameras.” He says, before smiling and offering the device to him.

“The beauty of it is just knowing the simple fact that you can freeze any given moment of time, and preserve it’s beauty for all to see.” He says, offering a warm smile. “I work as a photographer for my Dad in his art studio. He’s always looking for inspiration, and I always get calls to take family photographs, or travel abroad for portfolio projects, and I always bring him something in hopes that it would help him. You wouldn’t believe the albums I’ve given him over the years.” He laughs softly, a warm smile curving his lips.

 The water seraph took the camera, looking at the pictures before catching the part where Iwao said he traveled to take pictures. Immediately, his amethyst eyes flashed back to the other, an idea forming in his head.

 “If you like traveling, then why don’t we go to some ruins and take some pictures there? I know one particular place that is perfect! The architecture is beautiful, and the surrounding area is so untouched and amazing, I’m certain you could get some nice photographs if we managed to get there!” Mikleo stated, excitement growing. “I bet your father would like the photographs, too!” He was not only eager to get some pictures of the ruins, but just to explore. If there was one thing that got him really excited, it was exploring ruins and unknown areas.
