In light of P/yro being a fucking MORON and having the asinine view of "I will send fans to harass other fans for not obeying my censorship rules boundaries" I'd just like to say:
If you are pro "CC boundaries" you are not welcome on my blog and will be blocked. Those are not "boundaries," those are rules to police FAN spaces and promote censorship. You are pro censorship. I do not fuck with you.
FANdoms are FAN spaces FOR FANS. They are NOT for CCs. CCs do not get to make the rules. No matter how hard anyone tries, they cannot and will not control an entire fan space. The attempt to do so is futile and only enables abuse and harassment in their communities.
If CCs want to engage with their communities, they have to accept what they might be signing up for. They have to create a system (creating separate tags, blacklisting terms like the rest of us, etc.) to protect themselves AND fans.
CCs who try to police/dictate what their fans can and cannot do rather than curating their personal experience AND fostering safe spaces for their fans are promoting violence in their communities. Period. There is no "but don't harass anyone." That has not stopped anyone and never will. That is a cop-out disclaimer the CC is using to attempt to shed responsibility for the harm they directly enable. End of story.
"CC boundaries" were a phenomenon started by CallMeCarson, a disgraced MCYT CC who is a pedophile and general piece of shit. He invented "boundaries" to harass, shame, and attack fans for creating things he didn't personally approve of. "Boundaries" were never about respect and comfort for CCs. Fans and CCs alike need to learn this fact and remember it. Not enough of you do.
I do not create things for CCs or their approval. I create things for FANS. My works do not belong in front of a CCs eyes. When I DO create things for CCs, it will be put in spaces where they can see it. My works are not automatically for them by default, and should not be treated as such. I am a FAN in a FAN SPACE, creating things for FANS. This is MY space. I will not be policed, censored, or controlled by any CC and I will not be PUNISHED for creating FAN works.
CCs who choose to view my works that are not meant for them are NOT at liberty to complain about them. They're the ones who chose to look at my works. They know what they're signing up for when they invade fan spaces. Therefore they do not get to be surprised or unhappy when they do the equivalent of going to a restaurant and finding out food is being served there.
