Good Omens fandom and Neil Gaiman

I really need fans to put the same amount of energy, if not more (preferably MUCH more), into supporting victims and shaming Neil Gaiman as they do engaging in fandom discourse online. Speak out. Donate to organizations for sexual assault and abuse victims. Volunteer in domestic abuse shelters and other spaces for victims. Please. Do not financially support Gaiman or give him any sort of platform. I really need to make that known. I can’t help but feel this isn’t talked about enough and frankly it’s very glossed over within the fandom, especially with season 3 still being a major point of discussion online. Do not let fandom discourse overshadow the very real and ongoing reality of Gaiman being a serial rapist and abuser.

 Advocacy doesn’t start and stop with “yeah screw that guy” or “F*ck NG”. Please. PLEASE do more. You have more power than you think. Use it.

The main thing that good omens fans focus on in the 1941 flashback is the fact that Crowley saved Aziraphale's books. On a more serious note Crowley has saved Aziraphale from getting discorporated resulting in him having to do paperwork and getting embarrassed. These are the things that people usually think about with this scene, but another part of the scene is that Crowley literally prevents valuable prophecy books from getting into the hands of Nazis. Those books could have greatly aided the Nazis, so if your think about it, in the good omens cannon Crowley is one of the reasons the Nazis didn't win World War 2. I find it so funny that the good omens fandom rarely focuses on this fact because we're all such obsessed shipers that we're more focused on how sweet Crowley is to his Angel and how absolutely smitten Aziraphale looks.

When Aziraphale's crying, he's comforting his angel. Simply by staying by his side and letting him know that he's not alone (and won't be anymore). Not by "I'm so fucking clever look I was right all along everything is doomed and the fact that you're trying to proof otherwise is stupid"
