learning with music
When we hear a song, it usually brings to mind a flash from our past that is related to that tune.
Everyone knows that our preferable songs can tickle our memory in much ways.
aside from amusement, it is easy to take priority of this fact to enhance the learning experience, and get better information retention.
Chris Brewer, founder of LifeSounds Educational Services and writer of the book Soundtracks for Learning, says sounds can help to hold our attention, evoke emotions, and stimulate visual images. "Students of all ages - that includes adults - generally find that music helps them focus more clearly on the task at hand and puts them in a better mood for learning," says Brewer.
A survey studying the distinction in GPA between students who listen to music while studying and those who do not, found that those who listen score significantly higher GPAs.
The influence of music on rates of learning has been the subject of study for many years. Research has corroborative that some amount of background music may in fact be helpful in the learning process and improve the co-ordination skills of students with sentimental and behavioral difficulties.
Arabian Sinbad desired to apply the influence of music on the learning of Arabic language. So, it included the Sing-a-long CD in their
"Arabian Sinbad Deluxe Package" to get the learnerget hooked on the songs and sing along with them. Twenty six different songs of different words, situations, concepts, and language structures are included in the CD.
The songs are simple, and easy to remember that you will find yourself repeating the tunes in no time, even if you do not know a word of Arabic.
The words used in the Sing-a-long CD are closely chosen to emphasis the words presented in the Arabian Sinbad learning Episodes that makes leaning Arabic easy and fun.
You will educated words from the episodes and pick up vocabulary simply by listening and singing along to the attractive tunes.
We hope that the developers of Arabian Sinbad produce more such products that use the power of music to teach the beautiful Arabic language, because the market is obviously lacking.
Thumbs up to the developers of Arabian Sinbad for their great product.
