however, although it’s not what the fic deals with, the idea of blackrock happening after flux buddies in the timeline has me reeling. like, yeah, it’s technically impossible in canon, but can you imagine? lalna, after loosing nano going back to his tower to seal himself away and bury his head in science, slowly going mad with power, drinking to forget... not caring about the possibility of rythian loosing zoeya because he’s already been through this and is numb to the idea, thinking someone else deserves to feel what he felt. rythian squinting up at him through the walls of the forcefield, lalna’s nonchalant way of talking about the nuke not matching his sad, sad, eyes as his palm closes around the sapphire necklace he wears...
