Also the way this shows how "mean" and "nice" men often have the same goals, just different tactics, to get what they want.

Dan's not giving LJ any space or concern for his emotions right now. It's about what he wants, same as Big Jane.

I don't know if this scene annoys me or opened my eyes to who Big Jane actually is.

Because if he's a master manipulator and he really wants Little Jane back (even just for funsies), why would he have not used this moment to play hero? Give the photos back without the threats and pompous attitude, tell Little Jane he has a right to be upset. Little Jane might be suspicious but ultimately grateful - boom, relationship door reopened.

But Big Jane doesn't do that. So at the end of the day, is he just another emotionally immature, messed up rich kid with too much time on his hands? This and the moment at the field where he told Jane he could just buy it really made me pause. Is making deals and being used all he knows, so he can't fathom LJ returning without incentive?

Or maybe I'm overthinking it and they just really wanted Little Jane to be devastated beyond reason when he had to go to Big Jane to make the deal.
