I am just now realizing I’ve never done an introduction post

Anyway, hi! My name is Archer. I mainly focus on Harry Potter stuff on here.

I’m working on a Severitus fanfic at the current moment, and once summer hits I’ll be a lot more active on social media lol

Doomed Severitus

I think Severus would have continued to become more uncomfortable around Harry as he grew up, especially during the later school years, and especially especially if it isn’t established severitus.

what're the adults' thoughts on Harry being slytherin? mainly asking abt dumbledor and mcgonagall but also very curious how snape's thoughts on harry in this au differ from canon

GREAT QUESTION!

I think the adults were under the very strong impression that Harry would be sorted into Gryffindor, given his veryyy gryffindor lineage, so when he was placed in slytherin they all had to take a beat and reassess how they saw Harry.

One of the really interesting things for me in canon was how often Harry was likened to his parents and how that informed a lot of the decisions he made.

I think he's rarely, if ever, seen as his own person, away from the title of "the-boy-who-lived" or James' son or Lily's boy, etc etc. So i think by being sorted into slytherin it forced a lot of the teachers, especially Snape, to have to confront their built up version of Harry

Dumbledore is lowk an enigma to me, as he is to the rest of the cast, I think at least outwardly he'd take it in stride. Inwardly he'd be keeping a closer eye on Harry and seeing if the horcrux is having a larger influence on him then he originally thought.

McGonagall... my mother. She's the one I'll miss most, she takes a bigger background seat and unfortunately I think slytherin!harry loses a mother/grandmother figure in her. She doesn't have the same relationship since she's not his head of house so she won't get as close or attached to him and vise versa with him to her, however she will invite him over for tea and biscuits every now and then, maybe during the winter holidays when he stays on campus.

Snape I think changes the most. In canon he really avoids and targets Harry to dodge the responsibility of Harrys orphan status, BUT I really think that the added responsibility of having Harry in his house starts a chain reaction of growing affection (in a snape-ish way) for Harry.

i like how the “why can’t you be real” is to the side of the art piece instead of outlining them or something. To me it gives me a feel of harry looking into a mirror of a desired reality almost!(hey wait mirror of erased mentioned kinda)

But yes immaculate take because if dogwood Harry had access to Ao3 some fucking how he’d eat up every single severitus tooth rotting fluff comfort no hurt fic ever . He’d use it as escapism but it’d also end up feeding his hopes so he unconsciously increases his expectations for attention and affection from Snape (that’s what he’s been reading! why wouldn’t it be real? couldn’t some of it be real?)

OC x CANON — StarSpy

I finally got around to making art of these two!

The OC’s name is Altrus Lenoir. He’s the Astronomy professor at Hogwarts since ‘83–98 .

He, ironically enough, also happens to be a werewolf. At first, Severus is extremely wary and rude towards him due to this. However, after being badly injured during a full moon, reluctantly Severus softens his attitude towards him. They don’t become close until ‘89-ish, and continue to be a couple up until Severus becomes headmaster, in which he shuts Altrus out in order to lessen the damage of his new and harsh role.

In this, both of the two survive the 2nd Wizarding War and end up moving back to France (Altrus’ home country) and work out their own underlying issues.
