For those that cannot believe that a starved vampire looks fit/ripped may I present you this:
First of all, vampires stay in the body they died in. They can't gain or lose weight.
Second, imagine the absolute horror of this. Imagine you're a vampire who doesn't get fed but looks healthy. No matter how you try to defy your master you can't tell other people you're in dire need of sustenance. Worse yet, people don't believe you you're starving. "But, you look healthy!? How can you possibly be starving? Are you trying to get a free meal?"
And vampires in DnD who don't get enough blood enter a sort of coma. At least according to old manuals.
Anyway, not trying to shame any HC just keep this in mind. And maybe give you an idea for some angst 👀
