You know I’m not JUST saying this because I like causing the demon muffin pain (though I do sort of–)
But I think using either Skeppy OR Bad as leverage for the other could be effective. And maybe the demon moreso.
Hear me out on this. Skeppy is a human, and Bad’s lives are attached to his. So if you get Skeppy, Bad would be more willing to listen and Bad is quite powerful being a demon so that would be a major benefit. But besides for keeping a hold on Skeppy, you can’t DO much to him because if you kill him, he has a finite amount of lives. And if you kill him too many times, Bad will be left on one life which isn’t good if you want to use Bad for his demon abilities. And he will KNOW if Skeppy loses a life because their lives are connected, and he will know if Skeppy loses his last life. Thus he will turn violent against the person who killed Skeppy, making the situation backfire.
Now here’s why I think kidnapping BAD would be more effective to get what you want. Compared to Skeppy, Bad is far more trusting of even the worst people and thus is easier to be manipulated into a situation where he could be trapped. He’s also a demon, so he has some natural weaknesses that could be exploited if you spent enough time studying his species and his tendencies. And quite possibly most valuable is that Bad can’t die permanently If Skeppy hasn’t lost a life. According to the wiki Bad technically has infinite lives, only actually losing a canon life if Skeppy loses one. And you know what useful tool you can use to manipulate someone with infinite lives? Torture.
And unlike with Skeppy you don’t have to worry about knowing how to do it so that he won’t die and sabotage your plan. You can use physical torture as much as you want, starvation and breaking bones because Bad can’t die unless Skeppy does. And you can use this knowledge as leverage against Skeppy AND Bad. Skeppy knows that Bad is essentially immortal, and while that’s good in most cases it also means he can be tortured ruthlessly without being able to actually die or lose a life. So he knows they have no reason to go easy on the demon. His love for the demon means that he would do ANYTHING to stop someone from hurting Bad, which could be used in a variety of different ways.
And you can also use the amount of torture to get access to Bad’s powers, as I doubt he’d be able to stay defiant at the prospect of endless torture, He would eventually cave solely to make the pain stop.
I saw a story on ao3 about Skeppy getting kidnapped to manipulate Bad during the disc war, and thought I’d add my opinion as to what strategy I personally think would be best: Kidnapping not Skeppy, but Bad.
