remember that moisturising is an important part of hand hygiene. especially if you’re washing your hands more frequently these days. healthy, intact skin is one of your immune system’s barriers, as dry and cracked skin can harbour dirt and microbes, and in extra bad cases skin infection can tank your immune system further

soap and water is great for getting rid of harmful microbes but they also remove your skin’s natural oils, so please please please apply some lotion after you wash your hands

I been carrying lotion everywhere because soap is accessible in every public restroom and hand sanitizer in many but after washing my hands (often many times a day, when I’m at work and trying to keep myself/customers safe) my skin is painful and cracked if I don’t moisturize (especially since it’s still winter and the air is dry!!!)
