His scowl twisted even further into an absolutely disgusted sneer. He thought he hated this strange invader, until he heard her speak. Now he knew he loathed her. His eyes were trained on the awful hammer-like weapon as she spoke, which had a name after all. An odd one to match its baroque appearance. Perhaps it was some pathetic attempt at counterfeiting a Heroes’ Relic. Terrible weapon or not, a solid blow from even a lump of raw iron ore could cause injury. Especially to his fragile self.
“For a moment I was certain I had found a new court jester for Her Majesty. However, I regret to inform you that if you attack anyone, I am obliged to destroy you. Come along quietly and the most you’d lose is your insipid iron bone.”
Needless to say, the attempt at humor was lost on him. As much as he’d like to know what things such as “votes” and “wrench” were, he quickly decided that suffering Filmore’s presence was just not worth it. Were he to drag her into the dungeons, no doubt he would end up tortured more than she would.
Filmore was not someone many had a completely neutral opinion of. Hubert was fully in the right to interpret her as a belligerent and uncouth, as that was an accurate description of her demeanor in 99% of social situations, this one very much included. She was, however, unable to keep up the act forever and was already considering scaling it back as she really began to realize that this prissy looking fellow was in fact, legitimately in charge and probably just doing his job. He was not, however, going to get her wrench as she proceeded to slip the offending instrument of car repair into the pocket on the hip of her work jumpsuit, a pocket none would be able to politely reach for. Her expression, though still a glare and a pretty nasty snarl began to slowly relax as did the rest of her, and she slowly pushed her sleeves up her arms, unintentionally showing off her extensive tattoos. “If I come quietly, will you make sure nobody fucking tries to grab me or anything?” This is the most reasonable thing she’s said this entire interaction, and even the swearing held no venom behind it.
