watching obi-wan in the original trilogy and then watching obi-wan in the prequel trilogy
whenever I see a "pro jedi" post that acts like jedi are a real religious minority to be defended and not 80% george lucas messing around in fantasyland orientalismstyle my eyes turn yellow and I get the urge to sithpost just to fuck with them. Peace is a lie. There is only Passion. Through Passion, I gain Strength. Through Strength, I gain Power. Through Power, I gain Victory. Through Victory, my chains are Broken. The Force shall free me. Now gtfo my feed and go to church or something
i've murdered SIGNIFICANTLY fewer people lately
May the 4th be with you ✨
the legend has posted!
You were my brother Anakin, I loved you
What if Obi-wan had told Anakin he loved him before Mustafar, what if he’d not avoided confronting Anakin’s torment on Coruscant but plainly stated TELL ME WHAT IS WRONG I LOVE YOU ANAKIN
Probably I'm the weird one but my conclusion of the obi wan show is 10 out of 10 no notes and Andor is it's good despite it's obvious flaws and for reasons i don't entirely understand the overall consensus is in reverse
they also went on the titanic together apparently
the best moment of any main star wars film is when obi wan, master jedi and expert diplomat of the galaxy, is fighting general grievous and kicks him, forgetting he’s a fucking cyborg
There was a lot going on at the moment ok
As someone who studies natural sciences, I think Coruscant as a planet is very interesting in a very horrifying way.
There is nothing natural there. The whole planet is completely dead. No natural climate, no hydrological cycle, no natural seasons, no fauna or vegetation left. The planet is completely dead, in a biological sense.
Coruscant is haunted because it's dead, and the only thing left there from the planet itself are ghosts.
Maybe it's the optimist in me, but I doubt Coruscant is dead. The ecology would be completely different from how it was before it turned into one giant city, but it wouldn't be dead. Imagining Earth in that state- there would be bugs, there would be birds, there would be rodents, there would be bats, there would be funghi, there would be lichens and mosses, there would be bacteria and deep sea life. There would be scavengers and pets and things that feed on all the waste. And probably other things I'm not thinking of right now.
If Disney hadn’t left the TNJO for dead it would be common knowledge that Coruscant was conquered, terraformed, and became a giant jungle in probably the most oddly anti imperialist way possible, and I really wish people knew this
Deleted Leia sass from The Empire Strikes Back
Leia, you were scheduled for execution.
She had it under control.
if i’m being honest star wars just is not that #deep
if it’s not deep then explain this
STAR WARS Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005) Dir. George Lucas
'For one of the primary purposes of [the Clone Wars] was to brutalize the population of the galaxy... This war has to be more destructive, more chaotic, more disruptive, and more horrifying than they could have believed... Civilians had to die in huge numbers on besieged worlds. Property had to be destroyed. Economies had to collapse. Planets had to starve... Because when Palpatine was ready to bring about the end of the conflict, both populations had to be so desperate for that moment that they would gratefully embrace peace. They must be so grateful that they would not care about the price it came at or what was traded away to achieve it.'
- The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire, by Dr. Chris Kempshall
quick sketch
NOTHING WILL EVER BE FUNNIER THAN ANAKIN SKYWALKER DEAD SERIOUS SAYING THE WORDS “I’M NOT MOODY.”
"I am not moody," he said, moodily.
