Sauron's gaze narrowed, the faintest flicker of amusement playing at the corners of his mouth. Daenerys’ words were sharp, defiant, but he could sense the fire in her heart – a fire that drew him in, one that could consume or bend to his will if handled with care. It causes the Maia to chuckles out of sheer amusement at the tone. It reminds him of a certain she-elf and anything that is a shadow of a reminder is welcomed.

“Ah,” he murmured, his voice as smooth and dark as polished obsidian. “I had forgotten how… spirited you can be. It is not my place to tell you what to value, Daenerys.” He let the title linger on his tongue, almost as though tasting it. “Only to remind you of the paths you may walk… and the price of each.”

He stepped closer, his presence commanding, shadow pooling at his feet. “But if I have overstepped…” he inclined his head, a gesture that held no humility, only dark humor. “You are welcome to remind me.”
