Aces and/or Aros who feel repulsed by and
Sometimes for some aces and aros who are repulsed by intimacy and/or romance gets worse. Like you get more repulsed as time goes on.
Don’t be ashamed about it, be proud

Can you be a cisgender person with straight aesthetic attraction and be on the ace/aro or both spectrums?
Absolutely! Gender or having/ lacking aesthetic attraction (finding a person cute, pretty, hot, handsome, beautiful, etc) are not factors if a person is on one or both spectrums
Arospec culture (for me) is "Am I really asexual? Do I really feel romance or do I not? Am I lying to myself?"
★
(also i think anon mixed up aromantic/ asexual)
Shipping as an Ace/Aro/Aroace with aesthetic attraction
Whether you are aesthetically attracted (finding a gender or genders) very good looking or beautiful or handsome, it is acceptable to write a character who is attracted to someone on a non romantic/sexual level but not fully platonic.
You can write a pan ace, a straight aro, a bi demi aroace, an omni aroace, a lesbian aegoace, a gay grey-aro, etc.
There are no rules, follow your heart.
Aromantic/Asexual Poem
When you’re aroace
you might feel out of place
But remember you’re human like everyone else
This is what people should tell
you’re valid like everyone
Smile and be happy in the warm sun
no matter how you feel with intimacy or romance
Do a happy dance
it’s okay to have no or varying degrees
of what allos are feeling
Go on and brace
Being aro and or ace
let nobody put you to shame
Those who do are losers with nothing to gain
Being on one or both spectrums
is awesome anyone that says no is dumb
Aroaceaid goal
I seek to unite everyone on both spectrums to create a tight community of aros and aces.
If anyone has a question, feel free to ask.
Reblog with #proud ace or #proud aro or #proud aroace or #proud ace and aro ally
Aphobia is crazy because why does my decision not to fuck or romance anybody matter to you
Aroace Thought
I think it would be neat if there was a neighborhood dedicated to people on the asexual/aromantic spectrum(s).
What would you name a street?
Edit because I think this is being misinterpreted: The aroace tag is not colored, it's a petition for Tumblr to color it (sorry for the confusion)
spread the word and contact tumblr support! Everyone reblog!
@staff
For aro/ace writers:
- you don't have to write sex scenes. Tolkien didn't
- you don't have to write romance. Lewis didn't
- you can write very close friendships that have nothing romantic nor sexual in them. Scott Lynch did
- you can write sexual relationships that don't involve romance. Sapkowski did
- you can write romantic relationships that don't involve sex. Pratchett and Gaiman did
Don't let anyone tell you that some kinds of relationships are impossible or that a story must contain some themes. It's your story, write it the way you want
Undervalued
Asexual and aromantic respect is rising but not fully. Sometimes it’s hard when people don’t take us seriously. They think we’re insecure or seeking attention.
we are who we are. We didn’t choose to be on either or both spectrums. We need to be valued like every human being. We need support not just fron the lgbtqia+ community but also Allies and everyone else on the planet.
Reblog to show you support and validate the existence of asexual and aromantic people.
not to be annoying but i don't see like any aseuxal/aro rep in most pride month posts so remember to pour one out for the homies
beautiful

Fraysexual/Frayromantic example
Juniper is trans woman with omnisexual/romantic attraction. She likes the idea of intimacy and romance when seeing it with others and when she thinks about it. However, when she started dating a cisgender woman, she lost interest as she got to know the person over time
………………………………………………………
I write these examples in case someone is wondering about their identity
Ace thoughts
When you lack or lack with certain excellent a desire for intimacy, some thoughts can circulate……….
intimacy is selfish
why not go to a movie instead?
why not eat steaks together?
why do you have to do that to be happy?
*please note this does not apply to everyone on the asexual spectrum, especially if they identify as something like graysexual or demisexual or fraysexual
Aroace in Relationships
whether someone is on the aro, ace, or aroace spectrum; it is okay to pursue being in a relationship. Being on the aro/ace/aroace spectrums does not mean someone cannot be in a relationship or marry. Whether someone has aesthetic attraction or not, there are no rules about relationships if a person is aro/ace/aroace. It is up to the individual to decide what they want.
Queer aro/ace/aroace
A term for a person on the ace, aro, or both spectrums for those who cannot describe their identity. The identity is complex that an existent microlabel does not fit who they are.
