okay okay HE DOES which brings me to the theory-- stede and the crew board the revenge either before or after the storm. ed falls off the ship and gets injured, thus the cuts on his face, then stede takes care of him. that explains stede's clothes, given by the chinese pirates, then the revenge gets slightly ruined in the storm, thus the shot of him looking around really concerned. ed isn't wearing the cravat during the beach battle, or the scenes with hornigold which i'm starting to believe is a dream/hallucination, so stede taking care of him must happen then!
