I just figured out why Nikolai giving the crown to Zoya makes no sense

In the grisha trilogy, Alina asked if she got in the way of Nikolai and his quest to rule, if he would kill her or get rid of her

And he said that he didn’t know

Everything he was doing was for the crown, and helping the people was his goal as well

But now he just gave up the crown, in a Nikolaiesque way, still basically guaranteeing him as king, but it felt off

Maybe this is character development, he sees the crown isn’t as important as the country, but it didn’t seem right to me

ROW spoilers

Is anyone else just kinda disappointed with ROW

It felt flat and 2D. The characters seemed like actors playing themselves to me.

Also I’m not sure if bring back the Alina mal, darkling and kaz was part of the original plan for the book, Bc it felt like fan service.

The deaths didn’t have the emotional weight I expected, and honestly there didn’t seem to be the threat of losing, even in the battle.

Idk, the whole thing seemed kinda dull in comparison to the other books.

Just look at how smug he is. I think he’s telling the Dregs he has a job for them, through an outside party. One he knows he’d benefit greatly from, without having to do any of the work himself.

Fun fact: People with certain allergies, such as latex allergies, may find themself feeling itchy, burny, and/or tingly when they eat certain raw fruits/veggies because the allergy causing proteins can cross react or be deemed too similar to the fruit/veggie.
