Unicorn print carved from a 3x4 rubber stamp. I'm quite pleased with how she came out :)

ap of my henry and pebbles print, on horrible sketchbook paper which is why it’s so dry and uneven. I’ll finish up the text on the banners, it’s just so tiny and my neck was hurting lol.

@rednightmare18 thank you so much <333 it was so much fun and i’d like to do more printmaking and kcd has been inspiring a lot of printmaking projects lately!
Casa Sperimentalen, Fregene, Italy,
Also known as Casa Albero, the experimental concrete residence was developed over seven years by a family of Italian architects.
The project was led by Giuseppe Perugini alongside his wife Uga de Plaisant, with their son Raynaldo Perugini later contributing to the design. During the 60s and 70s, the family used the holiday home as a laboratory for architectural experimentation, exploring new Brutalist construction methods and unconventional approaches to living space.
Constructed from raw concrete modules and geometric frames woven through the surrounding pines, the structure explores a modular, almost organic vision of living spaces. Raised on pillars, it was conceived as an ‘unfinishable’ architectural experiment.
Access to Casa Sperimentale is via a single red staircase that can be raised like a drawbridge, allowing the house to be physically separated from the ground.
Abandoned since the 1990s, the structure has suffered vandalism and significant decay, leaving the structure at risk of collapse despite ongoing efforts to preserve the site.

New linocut I made at work.
bohemian paradise, handprinted lino relief, 4.25x3.5 in on stonehenge white. Final version of this post!
this was a really fun project to get back into printmaking. I’ve never done a style like this, and I only planned the outlines, Henry and his outfit and sword, and Mutt in the bushes on the right. the vegetation, details on Pebbles, and details on Trosky castle was done freely by referencing the book and screen caps from the game.
the lino block i used was super old, so it’s dried out and has a weird dappled texture. I guess it looks more wood blocky this way? I don’t mind it. I just wish I had a press to get better pressure without using more ink, because the details are so small that the ink squishes and looks muddy. or thinner paper, but I’m trying to use what I have (and what I have survived a move so the paper was a little beat up...)
Related, the details are SO small and the letters were super tricky. I only had about 3-4 mm of space for the letters and even my tiniest carving tool was pretty big.
I’d like to print this on a press and/or carve a bigger version… maybe on wood, so I could punch the dots with an awl or similar tool, the way they were done (albeit on metal plates. Actually, some medieval dot print plates were not made to be printed, the plate itself was the decoration. The technique is related to metalworking and goldsmithing trades). If I carve a second bigger version, I’ll definitely add a little Hans where the woman on the left is, but he was just too dang small to carve on my version.
Here is the reference I used, as seen in An Introduction to a History of Woodcut, vol. 1 by Arthur M. Hind, 1935.
