hey do you know were the cast of the freak circus are originally from like what country? im new to the whole fandom so im trying to find were they originally are from

or is there no cannon place from were it all started?

First off, welcome to the fandom! I know it can be a little bit hectic, since it’s a relatively small fandom and the game is entirely made by one person (Neko, super nice dude)— but there’s been a lot of really cool resources made to help you learn all the information about the game and characters that Neko has answered and talked about! :D

There is this master list that @purple-plum-petals made giving a nice, direct list of questions and the answers that Neko has given, I really like how each of the questions linked are summarized for easy finding c:

I use those links a lot when referencing information, because I know Neko has said its a bit hard to try and keep it all organized himself right now— he’s hard at work getting the update out before the end of the month!— so it’s awesome and really cool to see people take the time and effort to make such organized and detailed resources! :D

HOWEVER, TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION ITSELF: We don’t know exactly where they’re from! Given that the creator himself is from/lives in Brazil and that the characters have directly/indirectly referenced Brazilian things (Pierrot loves brigadeiro sweets, Harlequin misses insulting people in Portuguese, ect) it can be a safe bet that might be a country they consider home if nothing else!

It’s not canon-canon, but insinuated— Neko likes to leave some details ambiguous to give himself and fans wiggle room to play with the world lore, but it seems to be well-accepted by some fans that the circus at least originated out of Brazil <3
