How do you deal with hopelessness, especially regarding climate change and the inevitable collapse of human civilization?
That’s a mood.

Day 20 – Potion
When business called for potions to be transported across town for delivery, Edgar went to work. The active alchemical ingredients in potions could cause the mixtures to be unstable, and it just so happened that the innately magical nature of cats calmed the potions enough to safely transport them. Edgar wasn’t the only delivery cat around, but he was the best. His human told him so every day.
Anyway, do you guys want to see my Cool Rocks?
This is my grandfather’s rock. It is Probably a Garnet, which he mined out himself when he was in college studying to be a geologist.
Though you may assume this is a Small Rock, it is in fact a very Large Rock, and also a very Heavy Rock, but most especially a very Square Rock, which is what makes it particularly cool.
Here we have a rock which used to be a tree. This rock is petrified wood! It was one of my very first Cool Rocks!
Speaking of rocks that used to be things that were not rocks, this rock is Petoskey stone! This rock used to be a coral. Let’s get a good look at those patterns.
Now that’s a Cool Rock!
Amethyst? It’s an Okay Rock. If you are looking for an inexpensive rock to start your collection, amethyst is the way to go. It’s a quartz with a deep purple color. A very nice, if average, rock.
Now citrine… Citrine is a Cool Rock! It’s a smoky quartz with a lovely honey color. The druzy on my chunk of citrine has a wonderful sparkle.
This is my Amazonite! It grew that hexagon shape all by itself!! This specimen is from Colorado.
Look at this shiny little slice of rock! This rock is Tiger Iron, and those bands of red and orange glow beautifully with some light behind them. These different colored bands are made from Hematite (the dark silver), Jasper (the red-orange), and Tiger-Eye quartz (the yellow-orange).
Here’s a rock you’ve probably seen before! This Cool Rock is Malachite. The patterns and rings are from the stalagmites this little egg was carved from.
Whoa, look at this giant slab of Extremely Cool Rock!!! These crystals formed in the cracks of fossilized mud, to make the awesome patterns in this geode of Septarian! This is my second best rock.
This is my Best and most Favorite Cool Rock. In this dark room it’s a dull little grey rock, but if I move it closer to the light…
Those glints of gold! Those veins of blue! This rock is most certainly Labradorite, which changes color spectacularly when the light hits it just right. Let’s put it in direct sunlight.
Yes!! YES!! There it is!! The Best and Coolest Rock!!!!!
Huge Nervous mood @ sylvanas.
Maybe a stupid idea, but maybe it already exists
You start a game of DnD with a blank character sheet. Your DM has them all. You only discover stats and things as they become relevant.
Like, “I rolled 7 on my constitution check” “You get a +2 bonus so that’s a 9.” *Hurriedly marking it down*
Or
“I would like to ask the innkeeper if there is anything weird going on in the area” “Dragonborn are rare in these parts, so she is suspicious at your approach.” “Wait I’m a DRAGONBORN?!?”
It would be absolute chaos but for a one-shot I feel it would be fun. Maybe all the characters have amnesia and they have to figure out what they can do from scratch.
It’s not D&D, exactly, but Alas Vegas is a RPG where the characters dig themselves out of shallow graves at the edge of the city and have to figure out who they are and what’s going on.
Notable for: instead of rolling dice, you play blackjack with tarot cards; the position of GM rotates every act so even the GM won’t know everything that’s going on (unless they read ahead where they’re told not to); you gain skills with flashbacks to your former life where you remember a little bit about who you are; you play blackjack with tarot cards

Some pieces I did while on X-mas break. The many Void monsters of World of Warcraft.
I think a lot about how kids think they don’t like learning and about how wrong they are about it.
Kids love learning. They’re biologically hardwired to love learning. They just think they hate it because half of what gets taught in schools is irrelevant to real life and not hands-on activities.
Kids might say they hate school and learning. But like ask any kid if they want to be shown how to make fire turn green. Ask any kid if they know about real life Dracula. Ask any kid if they want to hear about how strong a tiger is. They’ll want to learn about it.
When I was in third grade, my entire class started this weird black market inside our desks where everybody sold different things and we used broken pencil leads as currency. I sold pet erasers I think, they were just erasers with faces drawn on them. Obviously we got in trouble and weren’t allowed to do it anymore, but imagine if our teacher had stopped our boring curriculum to teach us about economics through the lens of the weird businesses we had created? It would have been amazing. We would have loved it.
Kids don’t hate learning. School is just bad.
