I drew my mother in law's kitty, as a present for her birthday, a while ago and forgot to post it here. His name is Billy and he's a total sweetheart.

This magnificent little butthead ran across my path on Friday the thirteenth just before midnight. He was scared, half starved and very tiny. Since he was rescued a few weeks ago, he has turned into a healthy, happy cat with an absolute excess of personality. We named him Bast. He needs a forever home, since we cannot keep him permanently. We’re looking for an indoor home near the San Francisco Bay Area where he will be fed a healthy diet and given all the attention he deserves (and will demand). He would love to have another cat or some dogs to boss around. He’d probably be fine with kids, although very young ones would require supervision as he’s still learning his manners. He tolerates baths just fine and likes to be brushed.
So... If you think you might be the right person for him, please email me at: [email protected].

Leelah Alcorn is a young woman who committed suicide recently. Her parents and their church denied her identity and emotionally abused her and it led to her death. She will be buried under a name that wasn't hers, but many people will remember her true name.
I'm very honored to have my art featured on the Reptile report :)

California slender salamander - Batrachoseps attenuatus
These little guys tend to fall into swimming pools. They can't swim to save their lives, so if you see them in the water, go ahead and rescue them. Unlike most amphibians, they don't go into the water to lay their eggs.
Arboreal salamanders - Aneides lugubris
These salamanders have impressively sharp and prominent teeth. They use them to scrape up moss so they can eat the microorganisms living in it. They are also terrible swimmers and tend to end up trapped at the bottom of swimming pools, as these ones did. Rescue them when you see them. They will drown.

Female leucomelas dart frog, also called a bumblebee dart. She's kind of shy, but she's very pretty when you can see her.
