apparently, I have to say this again: If you see nonBlack poc saying “you should care about racism against us the way you care about racism against other groups” that is covert antiBlackness. If you see nonBlack poc saying “ugh you only care about American issues” and it’s clear that they mean BLM, that is covert antiBlackness (which, by the way, BLM is a global issue–Black people are everywhere, antiBlackness is everywhere, and thus Black lives matter everywhere.) If you see nonBlack poc saying “we always help out other groups but nobody ever helps us” that is covert antiBlackness. I’m gonna need white people to stop reblogging that kinda shit uncritically and I’m gonna need nonBlack poc to stop saying and reblogging that kinda shit uncritically. Of course, racism against nonBlack poc should be discussed, but you can discuss it without throwing Black people under the bus. Not to mention, when a post goes around about racism against Asians or racism against Latines or racism against Natives–there are Black people in all three of those groups. Black Asians and Afro-Latines and Black Natives deserve to feel included in your posts about racism against those communities.
