“Rude.” He finished the braid and tossed it away, scooting to the side with a glare. “Well, yeah, sure but do they all like Bart more? Yes. Understandable, thought, he’s a golden child.”

This was the first time they'd actually had a sleepover, so forgive her if she was laughing a bit at his expense, "I'm not kidding, I'm going to adopt your little cousin. I like him more than you. And he has no filter, and is very loud. Interesting conversation, could hear it from in here."

He sat beside her, her hair gathered up in his lap. He enjoyed braiding it, it gave idle fingers lots to do- and her hair was soft, okay. He rolled his eyes, scoffing a little. “Okay, you can’t do that, because he’s my little cousin.” He wrinkled his nose. “Join the club, everyone likes him more, he’s a delight.” He tugged just slightly on her hair.
