if i ever come into possession of a ludicrous amount of money, one of the things i will be doing is bribing george rr martin into allowing me to adapt a song of ice and fire (game of thrones), fire & blood, and his dunk & egg series, not live action but with animation.
i'm quite partial to either Blue Eye Samurai style or Arcane (tv series) style, but I know I want it to be colourful and full of whimsy and all the fantastical things that live action shows lack
Dany's eyes? Brilliant purple that will be a burning shade of intense violet whenever she gets into a magical situation or has a speech or something equally as epic
The dragons? They will be COLOURFUL!!! Bright! Glorious! Sunfyre will have semi metallic scales that shimmer like molten gold coins in the sun! Balerion will be such a dark black it seems as though he sucks the light out the room like vanta black! Dreamfyre will be soft blue like periwinkle but with shimmery silver throughout and on her crests! Drogon will be the same all consuming midnight black as Balerion but will have swirls of blood red crimson, while Rhaegal will be a rich jade green with brindled markings of shimmery bronze/copper, and Viserion will be soft cream with striking bright golden swirls on his wings and along his spine and crests! I want colour and different textures as well, like the Cannibal's charcoal scales will look rough and hard and jagged while a more pampered dragon like Morning will have smooth, almost shiny looking scales
I'm talking silver gold hair for the Targaryen's, and mismatched eyes for Alyssa, with a streak of silver for Rhaenys The Queen Who Never Was and Rhaenys, daughter of Elia. I want to show how Aegon, Visenya and Rhaenys and the first few generations had more striking and 'unusual' facial features like roman/aquiline noses and sharp jawlines that slowly, as the Targ's mingled and spread their bloodline out, began to fade and only really show in a few select descendants - Maekar, Aerion, Aerys, Viserys, Daenerys etc
I want the wall to be 700 feet tall and Loras to have his cape of sewn together fresh roses, I want the Direwolves to grow to be massive and each one to have distinctive coats and markings, and I want the giants or unusual characters in the series to keep their physical quirks- Gregor will be 8 foot tall, the Sothoryi will have brindled skin, Tyrion will have patched blonde black hair and mismatched eyes and will lose his nose, Theon will go from a raven haired handsome young lord to a white haired skeletal relict of a man, Euron will be a dark and handsome warlock with dark blue stained lips, etc, etc
I will do Rhaenyra the justice she deserves and put her in maroons and purple velvets and silks with black and gold Myrish lace edging and thick ropes of pearls, golden rings and jewels with rubies, amber, tigers eye, jet, opals and of course her jade tiara from Yi Ti
Sansa's amethyst hairnet and moonstone earrings, Cersei's sea green silk gown trimmed with white myrish lace and her black mourning gown sewn with hundreds of blood red teardrop rubies on the bodice, Daenerys will have her snow white hrakkar/lion pelt with the lions head worn as a hood, her silver and gold victory bells, her painted leather vest and dothraki sandsilk trousers and woven grass sandals with the medallion belt, her Qartheen gowns of fine lilac silk that will shimmer like water, and Euron will have his full suit of black scaled armour made of Valyrian steel inlaid with glyphs, arcane symbols and glyphs and Ramsey will have his bloody flayed suit of armour
And the food! I will use the visuals of the food to set the mood like with the red wedding, the ambiance will be dull, kind of sickly greyish greens while platters of unappetizing jellied calves brains, fish poached in almond milk, cold mashed turnips, and stringy beef are served
But when it comes to magical mythical stuff, like Dany's visions and glimpses of Asshai and old Valyria, I want the animation to change and reflect that, become surrealist almost??? Like when Dany walks through the halls of the Undying and has her visions, I want it to be clear that she see's this spectacle as we do, it looks just as strange and fantastical to her as it does to us from what she usually sees in her real world if that makes sense???
I don't know, maybe I'm just overly high on painkillers and delirious from fever but I have so many ideas, so many plans, so many wonderous fantasies but alas no money and no creative authority just a dream
