Arthur in the form of a strip!? You gotta be kidding me! Here? Right now? Oh jeez...
Sorry about the lateness for what is technically last week's page of Arthur, but it doesn't matter we're back now!
We finally visit the Valley of the Worms, it took 11 weeks and 10 pages to do so but we're finally here! The bazar in my mind was primarily inspired by the streets of aladdin in the sega genesis game. Awesome game by the way.
Once again, we should thank James Kaminski and Andy Hood for their hard work on this page, personally, I think this is some of the best work we've done so far!
No Arthur this week, sorry everyone!
Just stay tuned everyone, Arthur will be back next week on the same web space! This spot illustration is brought to you by Andy Hood!
On another note, here's a quick sneak peek at next week's pencils. The caterpillars and worms are after Arthur, even here in our world, not just in the Valley of the Worms.
Arthur returns after being absent from his own comic for a few weeks! What kind of trouble will Arthur's can-do-attitude and optimism get him into? Find out next week!
Its hard to believe that Arthur is little over two months old at this point. It seems just like yesterday when I saw the pencils for the first time.
The worm speaks using old english pronouns?
I had to research, heavily, into the use of old english pronouns. Like when to use "ye" or "you." I think I learned more about grammar for this comic than I ever did in English class. Probably it has something to do with application. Anyways, tune in next week to see Arthur again. I know we haven't seen him in a few weeks but he'll be back, I swear!
This week on Arthur the World's Strongest Boy: The two-armed worm puts the pain on Ricky and the rest of the trio.
This week's page got done super late this week, it just so happened that all three of us were also featured in this month's COPOUT Artists.
Who's your favorite Arthur character so far? I think mine might be Ricky.
The trio's names have finally been revealed. I think that so far that must've been the hardest part about writing Arthur. All three needed names that reflected their personalities, I think I nailed it pretty well.
This is my favorite page that we've done so far. We're definitely getting used to this group process and at visualizing the finish. When we first started this we had no idea how the first page was going to turn out. Now that we're used to it we can accommodate for each other to make better quality pieces.
Promotional Piece to get you all stoked for next week.
Illustration by our penciler James Kaminski
Stay tuned next monday to see what trouble The World's Strongest Boy gets into next.
Page 5 of Arthur is now up! We received a huge spike in reblogs and likes these past couple of days. I'd like to thank everyone who reblogged Arthur and I certainly hope you all continue to do so.
Next week the cat tells his story. The suspense is killing me!
Here we introduce three new characters. Funny story about these guys, as of this post, they still don't have names. In the script I just refer to them as Cat, Pigeon, and Cube, or the trio. I have a strong feeling that after this week, I'm going to have give in and finally name them something.
The mystery begins. Who is in the tree? Why were they assembling a puzzle? What happened to their picnic? Does Arthur have a terminal illness? Find out all of this and more next week!
Welcome back to our second installment of Arthur the World's Strongest Boy. This week we see a fraction of how strong Arthur really is and how he's not really in control of all of that power. Despite his hulking abilities he's still a child. He loves to play with his toys and draw. I think Arthur may be the next big think in art actually. He's pretty skilled for his age if you ask me.
Hi everyone! Welcome to the first, of hopefully, many entries to Arthur the World's Strongest Boy. Andy and James came to me a few months ago, before graduation, and said, "Hey we're planning on doing a collaborative comic and we want you to write it!" I of course was enthused. I had no story though. I went through all my old sketch books and found a quick doodle of a character called Arthur the World's Strongest Boy. I immediately knew this was our comic. I began to sit down and write. We originally intended for this to be a zine or something. The story then began to get far out of my control and wound up being much longer. So we decided to make a weekly web comic out of it. This way color would become a viable option since almost none of our comics are ever printed in color. Well, anyways that was the quick Arthur origin story I hope you all enjoy and stay tuned for future Arthur updates.
